An experiential event will be held where you can enjoy the world of the TV anime “Gintama”. “Gintama World ~You can only be cool at first~” will be held starting from December 27, 2024 at the Ikebukuro venue in Tokyo, and will also be held in Osaka and Hakata.

“Gintama” is a TV and theater anime series based on the manga by Hideaki Sorachi. Set in Edo, where values ​​have suddenly changed due to the invasion of aliens, the series boasts deep-rooted popularity as a thrilling entertainment filled with heart-pounding gags and action, as well as humanity and bonds.
From December 2024, the exhibition “20th Anniversary Gintama Exhibition ~ Hatachi no Gathering ~” will begin touring nationwide, starting in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. On November 11th, the ranking of the top 20 characters in the “Gintama 20th Anniversary All Character Popularity Vote” will also be announced.

The TV anime was broadcast for 13 years starting in 2006, and reached its final episode in October 2018 with episode 367. The movie version anime was released in 2010 as “Gintama the Movie New Translation Benizakura Hen”, 2013 as “Gintama the Movie Final Chapter Yorozuya yo Eternal” written by the original author Hideaki Sorachi, and 2021 as the movie depicting the end of the original work. Gintama THE FINAL” has been released.

The experiential event “Gintama World ~You can only be cool at first~” that has been decided to be held will include attractions where you can enjoy the world line of the TV anime “Gintama”, mini-games where you can win prizes, photo spots, goods and food sales, etc. is expanded.

A total of 8 people appear in the original life-size illustrations drawn for this event: Gintoki Sakata, Shinpachi Shimura, Kagura, Toshiro Hijikata, Sougo Okita, Kotaro Katsura, Shinsuke Takasugi, and Kamui.

At the attraction “Aim for Employment! Kabuki Town Joint Interview,” where you will receive special benefits after participating, you can experience a job interview with Yorozuya or Shinsengumi.
Gintoki Sakata for Yorozuya and Toshiro Hijikata for Shinsengumi will be the interviewers, and this is an interactive digital attraction that fans will be happy to hear as they can listen to exclusive recorded voices.

Inside the attraction, there will be content that will ask you about your knowledge regarding Yorozuya and Shinsengumi, as well as a scene where you can promote yourself in an interview-like manner. The ending will change depending on how you play, and after the experience ends you will receive a “bromide” with the interview results written on it. There are over 20 interview results in total.

The mini-game “Judge of Just Away” lets you experience Just Away’s inspection work, where you can receive various original prizes depending on your results. For the A prize, you can get an acrylic stand (12 types in total), for the B prize, you can get an A5 clear file (9 types in total), and for the C prize, you can get a die-cut sticker (12 types in total, 8 types will be added later).

There is also a mini-game called “Tested Ketsui Kamida Fortune” where you pull out toilet paper and swallow it. As the name of the mini-game suggests, you can win toilet paper with the S Prize.

In addition, the A prize is an acrylic ball chain (8 types in total) or a banknote with 2 pieces of baked kama, the B prize is a Japanese paper can badge (8 types in total, and 8 types added in the second half), and the C prize is a foil-stamped sticker with scene photo lines (all 19 types) are available as prizes.

At the event, you can also enjoy original food and drinks inspired by the works. Food that fans will love will be served, such as the Yorozuya 3’s “Newcomers Welcome! Yorozuya Special Dessert,” the Shinsengumi’s “Newcomers Welcome! Shinsengumi Special Yakitori Bowl,” and the “Takasugi Temari Small Gozen.”

When you order either item, you will receive one “illustration sheet” (9 types in total) with pictures related to each menu.

Although not eligible for the “Illustration Sheet,” there are also “Fortune Lattes” where you can enjoy latte art with illustrations printed on them, and soft drinks that come with acrylic sheet stands.

The hands-on event “Gintama World ~You can only be cool at first~” for the TV anime “Gintama” will be held at the hands-on retail facility “Bandai Namco Cross Store Tokyo” in Ikebukuro from December 27, 2024 to February 2025. Held on the 11th of each month.
