From “Revolutionary Girl Utena”, brooches and bags with the theme of “Rose du retour” are now available, using illustrations drawn by Saito Chiho. It is now available exclusively on a made-to-order basis at the mail order site of “Rosé-nik”, a new brand of anime goods for adults.
“Revolutionary Girl Utena” is a TV anime that aired in 1997 with a total of 39 episodes. The story is about the main character, Tenjou Utena, who meets Anthy Himemiya, a girl known as the Rose Bride, and gets caught up in a battle with student council officers who are vying for her. Directed by Kunihiko Ikuhara, the film depicts a story that is still very popular 27 years after it first aired on TV.
In October 2024, “Revolutionary Girl Utena: Adolescence Apocalypse” will be re-screened to commemorate the 25th anniversary of its release, and continues to generate enthusiastic fans both domestically and internationally.
New merchandise from “Revolutionary Girl Utena” has been released by “rosé-nik,” a newly born brand that proposes anime goods for adults. The lineup includes brooches and bags with the theme of “Rose du retour.”
It is based on the image of a world where Utena and Anthy are reunited after their respective departures in the final episode of the anime, and it also has the meaning of a “reunion” for both the work and its fans, 27 years after its broadcast.
Both brooches and bags have designs that can be used for a variety of occasions and coordination, whether on or off. True to the brand’s concept, it has an elegant look that allows you to wear your beloved Revolutionary Girl Utena at any time now that you’re an adult.
In addition, the “Rose of Reunion Bag” comes with a bag-in-bag featuring a new illustration drawn by Chiho Saito, who was in charge of the original character design and manga for this work.
