Collaborative merchandise with Takahashi Rumiko’s works, such as Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, and Inuyasha, will be available at the 2025 Japan International Expo, also known as the Osaka Kansai Expo. It has been announced that the store will be on sale from April 13th, 2025, when the Osaka Kansai Expo begins at the official store “2025 Osaka Kansai Expo, Official Store, East Gate Store, East Gate Store.”
Takahashi Rumiko’s collaboration with these three works was a reality as an opportunity to spread the appeal of Japanese manga as a world-renowned culture. The product concept is “the world of manga,” and the concept visuals and collaboration goods are inspired by traditional Japanese folding screen paintings and are designed to be combined with the Expo’s design system.
The lineup includes original products that can only be purchased at the venue, including double-sided print design T-shirts that bring together scenes from the works of Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, and Inuyasha, as well as specially processed printed posters that feature the story in the story in a single picture like a folding screen.
The double-sided printed T-shirt of Urusei Yatsura features a design featuring a romantic comedy scene with Ram and Ataru, as well as a design focusing on scenes such as Ram’s family, Ran, Benten, and Oyuki, as well as alien characters appearing. The double-sided printed T-shirt of “Ranma 1/2” also features Ranma and Akane, as well as the Tendo family members and Shampoo after transformation. The double-sided printed T-shirts for “Inuyasha” feature Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Shichipo, and Inuyasha and his group, as well as Sesshomaru.
