The final 42nd volume of Kohei Horikoshi’s manga “My Hero Academia” will be released on December 4th. The cover has now been unveiled for the first time. In addition, details regarding the “Kohei Horikoshi’s ‘My Hero Academia’ Original Art Exhibition” to be held in 2025 and a newly drawn key visual have also arrived.

“My Hero Academia” was launched in “Weekly Shonen Jump” issue 32, 2014 (released on July 7, 2014), and continued for 10 years in the magazine’s 2024 36/37 combined special issue (released on August 5). This is a hero action manga by Kohei Horikoshi whose serialization has ended. The cumulative worldwide circulation of the series exceeded 100 million copies in April 2024.
The media mix, including the TV anime series, theatrical version, game version, and stage adaptation, is also a hot topic, and the TV anime “FINAL SEASON” is scheduled to be broadcast in 2025. In 2025, he plans to release a fan book and his first art book, as well as hold a new original art exhibition.

The final 42 volumes of this work include the climax of the battle between the main character Deku (Izuku Midoriya) and other heroes, as well as the final episode, which received a great response both domestically and internationally due to its moving finale when the issue was released. Also includes 38 pages of newly drawn manga depicting the future. Ahead of its release on December 4th, the cover has been unveiled for the first time. The composition is inspired by Volume 1, and the illustrations give a sense of the growth of the members of Yuei High School’s 1st year Class A, including Deku.

Furthermore, the dates and venue of the original exhibition “Kohei Horikoshi’s ‘My Hero Academia’ Original Art Exhibition”, which was announced at the same time as the end of the series and created a lot of attention, have also been decided. It will be held at CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO in Kyobashi, Tokyo for 72 days from June 21st to August 31st, 2025. Along with the announcement, a new key visual drawn by Horikoshi for this exhibition, “Izuku Midoriya/Kosuke Shigara,” was also unveiled.
