Toshiki Masuda & Akiya Sano (Ae! group) are starring together! 3DCG animation movie “Youzen” from China will be released in March 2025

It has been revealed that the Japanese dubbed version of the 3DCG animated movie “Youzen” (original title: “New Shenbo Yang Kai”), which boasted a record-breaking hit in China, has been produced and will be released in March 2025. Akiya Sano (Ae! group) and Toshiki Masuda will be starring in the dubbing role. Along with the announcement, visuals and PV were also released.
“Yozhen” is a Chinese animation studio known for “White Snake: Engi” and “Nata Tensei”, and director Qiao Ji, and is based on the character Yang Kai (Yozhen), who appears in the classic Chinese novel “Fengshin Engi”. It is a 3DCG animated movie that depicts an original story with a new interpretation of the main character. When it was released in China in August 2022, it attracted attention for its beautiful, high-quality graphics and powerful action. It was a record-breaking hit, grossing over 10 billion yen in box office revenue in China.
A long time ago, the world was divided into the immortal world and the human world, but the power of the immortal world weakened after the war that broke out between the Shang and the Zhou. Like many immortals, Yang Kai, also known as Jirou Zhenjun, has fallen into decline and is now living as a bounty hunter in the human world. One day, Yang Kai happens to meet his nephew, Jing Xiang. A battle fantasy story unfolds in which Agarwood is on a journey to rescue her mother, who was trapped in Mount Hua, in search of the “Horento”, which doubles her power if she obtains it.
In the Japanese dubbed version, which is scheduled to be released in March 2025 under the Japanese title “Youzen,” Akiya Sano (Ae! group) will play the main character, “Youzen,” a bounty hunter who has lost his “divine power.” Toshiki Masuda plays the role of Jinko, a boy who stole the power of the gods.

I was very surprised when I received the offer. I never thought that the day would come when I would be able to work as a voice actor, so I was really happy. When I first saw this film, I thought that the visuals were very beautiful and the music was wonderful. There may be a lot of parts of the story that you’re not familiar with, such as Chinese mythology, but there are a lot of parts that you can relate to, and it’s easy to understand, and anyone can enjoy it. It was a great honor to voice the character Youzen, and I felt it was a very rewarding character. I think this work is filled with things that we should cherish, such as the bond between Youzen and Jinko and the bond with their master, so I would be happy if you could see it in theaters.
