It has been announced that “Toguinu no Blood” by BL game brand Nitrochiral will be adapted into a stage play in 2025, marking its 20th anniversary. The performance will be titled “The Blood of Toguinu” and will begin in August at Shinjuku FACE. The content of all five routes, as well as the cast, crew, and teaser visuals have also been revealed.
“Togainu no Chi” is a boy’s love game released in February 2005 as Nitrochiral’s debut work. This work made a shocking debut with a hard worldview that was not found in previous BL games, and a human love-hate drama that is depicted head-on. It was then ported to consumer games, mobile apps and smartphone apps, and sold over 200,000 copies in total. It is still supported by many fans.
The story takes place in Toshima, a town that has been taken over by the criminal organization Vischio, several years after the end of the war, and is decadent. There, the life-risking battle game “Igra,” which involves the organization’s throne, was being held. The protagonist Akira, who is condemned to be innocent, decides to join Igra as a replacement for being acquitted. He is then forced to defeat the king of Vischio (Il Re) and annihilate the organization.
Akira enters the lawless city and the human relationships surrounding him. Desire, fear, betrayal, and love… The story is about the intersection of various passions and truths that change Akira’s destiny.
This BL game, an immortal masterpiece, has finally been decided to be made into a stage play in 2025, marking the 20th anniversary of the show’s anniversary. The director and script have been written so far, “DRAMAtical Murder” (starting in 2019, re-run in 2023), “Sweet Pool” (starting in 2022), and “Lamento -BEYOND THE VOID-” (starting in 2022). (Performed in 2024) It will be done by Nakayashiki Norihito and Uchida Hiroki, who have teamed up on all chiral stages.
And the cast information is also revealed. The collection brings together an attractive cast who are active mainly on 2.5-dimensional stage plays.
First, Takahashi Yuri is chosen to play the main character, Akira. Next up is Tanaka Asayo as Keisuke, Izaki Ryujiro as Rin, Hayashida Kohei as Gensen, and Nakamoto Ohga as Shiki. Furthermore, Harada Rio will play Emma, Takigawa Hirohiro will play Kirio, Sakata Daimu will play Gunji, Fujiwara Yuki will play Alvitro, and Takeko Naoki will play N, each of whom plays characters who holds Akira’s destiny.
