“Nintama Rantaro the Movie: Dokutake Ninja Team’s Strongest Tactician” is currently in theaters. Box office revenue has exceeded 1 billion yen, and the momentum is accelerating. Now, almost three weeks after its release, a new cut scene has been released that further conveys the content and appeal of the film, and comments have also arrived from the original author, Soubei Amago.

“Nintama Rantaro” is based on the manga “Rakudai Ninja Rantaro” by Sobe Amago, which began serialization in “Asahi Shogakusho Shimbun” in 1986.The TV series has been broadcast since 1993 and continues to be loved by a wide range of generations. It’s an anime.
Set in the Sengoku period, the story depicts the bright, fun, and cheerful days spent by ninja eggs called Nintama, centered around Rantaro, Kirimaru, and Shinbei, while learning at a ninjutsu academy.

“Nintama Rantaro the Movie: Dotake Ninja Team Strongest Strategy Officer” is a film adaptation of the novel “Rakudai Ninja Rantaro Dotake Ninja Team Strongest Strategy Officer”, which is highly popular among fans. The story begins when Doi-sensei disappears while heading for a duel with Tasogaredoki ninja Moroizumi Sonnamon, and a serious development awaits, which is a little different from the usual Nintama.

Amago Soubei

This is a cut of a young Kirimaru, who does not appear in either the original work or the TV anime, curled up in a blanket in the falling snow. It was only for a moment, but when I saw that scene, I thought, “Oh, that’s right.”
I never drew Kirimaru when he was young, a war orphan who earns his own tuition to attend a ninjutsu academy, but I think that’s what war orphans looked like in that era.
Doi was the person who gave Kirimaru a place to return to after being lonely for the rest of his life. In this movie, I think director Fujimori has carefully depicted the relationship between Doi and his parents, older brother, and teacher. Even in their silence, Doi and Kirimaru cherish each other, which was conveyed through every detail of the production.
Rantaro and Shinbei immediately notice something strange about Kirimaru, who is alone and anxious because he doesn’t know the safety of Doi, who means a lot to Kirimaru, and he can’t tell anyone. When someone fails, something doesn’t go well, or someone feels depressed, “Nintama” is when we all think together, “What should we do next?”
Although Rakirisin’s circumstances are different, they are friends who love each other and do not pity or make fun of each other.
Then, the reason why the three of us are friends is because we happened to be together when we paid the entrance fee to Ninjutsu Academy (lol)
But that’s how friendships usually start.
