The manga “The Banned Mole” is the latest work by Natsumi Eguchi, who worked on the manga “Hozuki no Reitetsu” which became very popular and was made into a TV anime. It is currently being serialized in Kodansha’s “Morning” magazine.
A bizarre and funny comedy that depicts the mysteries of this world surrounding the mysterious mole Hyakuanto Yumiki, a self-proclaimed sage who says, “I’m banned from the other world, so I won’t die.” Gained popularity as.

It has also been revealed that Yuichi Nakamura will be the voice actor for Mogura. Also, in the teaser PV that was released at the same time, you can already hear the voice of the mole played by Yuichi Nakamura. The animation provides a glimpse into the “suspicious” appearance of a mole.

The TV anime “The Banned Mole” will begin broadcasting in July 2025. Mole Role: Yuichi Nakamura

Q1.The appeal of this work
I was impressed by the unique way in which the story was mixed with gags, ghost stories, and especially war stories to convey a message.
Each character has a deep, well-paced conversation that draws you in as you read.

Q2.Enthusiasm for acting
I felt that the most important thing was the sense of tension between the characters (in terms of the number of scenes and lines they appeared in), so I felt that I had to be careful about balance.
In anime, the tempo of the lines and the flow of the scenes have to be constructed according to the viewer rather than adapting to the viewer, so I think it would be difficult to create a work with this amount of information.
Hyakuan has a lot of changes in his expressions, from bright to dark to tsukkomi to serious, so I’m trying to figure out how to express him.

Original work: Natsumi Eguchi

I am very grateful. I think it’s a work that people will either like or dislike because of the subject matter it deals with, but I’d be happy if you could watch it as you like.
The animation staff checked every detail and created it, and every time I saw a detailed background setting, I would say to my assistant, “Is this what this building was supposed to look like?”
The voice actors and the songs are a perfect fit, and I’m impressed by the professional work they do in capturing even the subtlest nuances. I’m looking forward to watching the broadcast myself.
