“The Apothecary’s Monologue” is based on a novel that has sold over 38 million copies in total by Hinata Natsu, published by Hero Bunko and has also been adapted into comics for Big Gangan and Sunday GX. It’s fun-solving entertainment. Set in the medieval East, the story depicts Nekoneko, a girl who plays the role of “Dogbi,” solving various difficult cases that occur at the Imperial Court one after another.
When the first season of the TV anime began airing in October 2023, it was always ranked high in viewing rankings on each streaming platform, and became a hot topic, winning the special award at the TVer Awards 2023.
The second season, which will be broadcast in two consecutive seasons starting January 10th, 2025, has also attracted attention for the use of Ikuta Rira’s “Hyakuka Ryoran” as the opening theme.
Episode 30, which aired last week, depicts the conflict between An and Rika Hime, and on social media, she says, “I love this scene!!”, “Rika-sama is so cool!!!”, “It’s getting more interesting.” “That’s it,” he got excited.

This episode 31 begins with a flashback from Michi’s childhood. As he is a handsome boy, viewers were extremely excited from the start, saying, “Chibi Mimiji is so cute” and “Heart marks repeatedly!!!”
Miyoshi recalls the “terrifying expressions” she saw when she was a child. The expression of Michimi’s mother shown at this time was a maximum of horror, and many people were terrified, saying things like, “Huh,” “Are you suddenly horror?” and “Is it trauma from Michimi?” It looks like it’ll be a busy episode soon after it starts.
In order to shake off that past, Miyoshi is half naked and begins to sift through his sword. The handsome man’s sparkling sweat was shown, and the scenes tumble the viewers’ emotions, from excitement to fear, to excitement, to excitement, to “Thank you for the service scene!!!” and “Nn, I’m going to take it off…” It started from the beginning.

Meanwhile, Nekoneko is still stolen as usual, and is summoned by the Emperor along with Miyoshi. Then we headed to “The Mausoleum of Choice,” which is also the subtitle of episode 31. This place has endless rooms lined with doors of different colors, such as red, blue, green, and brown, and it is said that you will not be able to reach the finish line unless you open the correct door.
The structure is now like a maze, and although there are no red doors along the way, it says, “Choose a red door.” Meanwhile, Nekoneko chooses “Green Door” and arrives at the roof of the temple. This place was the goal…
Many voices of impress were received on social media, such as, “Amazing! As expected!!!”, “You got the right answer! I got goosebumps,” “Oh, Nekoneko is amazing after all,” and “It’s already solved!”

Apparently, many people with color blindness were found in the bloodlines of the emperors from generation to generation. This influenced the door color did not match the instructions in the room, and the doors opened differently between those who looked normal and those who were not.
A slightly complicated trick was unfolded, but the viewers were relieved to understand that “Nekoneko’s explanation is easy to understand and it’s easy to get in,” and “Ah! Are you taking advantage of your color blindness…!” The gathering concluded episode 31.

The second season of the TV anime “The Apothecary’s Monologue” is currently airing on the Nippon Television’s “FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT” slot every Friday from 11pm. Episode 31, “The Mausoleum of Selection,” is available for free on ABEMA. The next episode will be aired on February 28th.
