Shirow Masamune’s major exhibition, “Shirow Masamune’s World Exhibition – Ghost in the Shell and the Trajectory of Creation,” will be held at Setagaya Literature Museum from Saturday, April 12th to Sunday, August 17th, 2025. To commemorate this, it has also been decided that the “Spring White Massa T-Shirt Festival” will be held in an emergency.
Shirow Masamune has captured information on cutting-edge technology that had not yet become widespread in the world since the 1980s and 1990s when his works were published, and has expressed his manga about the future of being the first to turn into cybers in the world. Its innovation has continued to have a major impact on subsequent creators of manga, science fiction literature, film and more.
The “Shiro Masamune’s World Exhibition – Ghost in the Shell and the Trajectory of Creation” is planned to feature exhibitions that can trace the trajectory from his early works, Black Magic, to Appleseed, Dominion, and the Sengjutsu Super Ghost Orion, to the present day, focusing on one of Shiro’s masterpieces. This is a major exhibition where you can see the entire world of Shiro’s creative works up close.

During the event production process, it was discovered that almost no T-shirts are made available in the world based on manga originals, officially licensed and officially licensed. The love of the event production team has been overwhelming, and before you know it, you’ve seen it, and there have been over 30 original T-shirts on sale at the exhibition. In addition, additional paintings will be sold during the event, and with internal opinions such as, “Let’s hold one festival here!”, the “Spring White Massa T-Shirt Festival” has been decided to be held urgently.

A social media application project will also be held where 50 people will be entered into a lottery to receive revolutionary, original “Fuchikoma Plates” for those who purchase three or more T-shirt items at the exhibition venue.
