Yamadera Koichi continues to “Stitch” in the Disney live-action film “Lilo & Stitch”! “The Difficulties After Donald Duck” decided to be voice actor in Japan

The live-action film “Lilo & Stitch” will be released nationwide on June 6th, 2025. It has been announced that Yamadera Koichi will be the Japanese voice actor for Stitch.

Stitch sparked a boom with his adorable characters. This film will be made entirely live-action by Disney, which has worked on numerous animated films including Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.

Yamadera Koichi, who has also voiced Stitch in the animated film “Lilo & Stitch,” has recently been decided to serve as the Japanese voice actor for this film. In the English version, Chris Sanders continues to voice Stitch from the animation, so there were also many voices in Japan who were eager to say that “Yamachan Stitch” was also full of voices.

Yamadera, who was in charge of the long-awaited live-action version of Stitch, commented with delight, “I love the animated version of Lilo & Stitch, and I have continued to play Stitch in sequels and TV series, so it was really nice news that the live-action version was made into a live-action version!”

Yamadera, who has met not only Stitch, but also Lilo and Lilo’s older sister Nani for the first time in a long time, confessed that he was impressed by the reality and moving story that only a live-action version could have been, saying, “During the rehearsal, I was already moved by the scene between Lilo and Nani before Stitch met Lilo. The actors’ acting was amazing, and Stitch is also more realistic, so I think it was easy to put my feelings into.”
