To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the movie “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?”, it will be screened on January 25, 2025 as a 4K ULTRA HD ver., which is a rescan of the original master film. It has been revealed that on the first day of its release, a screening with a stage greeting will be held at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku in Tokyo. Sho Hayami and Nao Higashiyama will be on stage.
“The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?” is a new interpretation of “The Super Dimension Fortress Macross,” the origin of the series that established “songs,” “mecha,” and “love triangles,” and is released on July 21, 1984. This is the theatrical version that was released on the 1st.
The mecha action that unfolds along with Lin Minmei’s singing of the famous song “Do You Remember Love,” which is still sung to this day, is known as one of the most famous scenes in “Macross.” This is the origin of the Macross series and an epoch-making work in animated films.
“40th Anniversary Macross: Do You Remember Love? 4K ULTRA HD ver.” commemorates the 40th anniversary of this work, and the 4K ULTRA HD version, which was rescanned from the original master film, will be shown at 40 movie theaters nationwide. What will be shown at. At the recently announced screening with a stage greeting on the first day of release, the uncultured pair of speakers: Sho Hayami (Maximilian Genus in Macross) and Nao Toyama (Reina Prowler in Macross Delta) Welcome. Tickets are available in advance (lottery system) only for Premium/Standard members of “Super Dimension Fan Club Macross Soul” until December 19th, so fans don’t miss out.
