March 7th is the “Police System Reform Day” and “Fire Service Day.”

Both police officers and firefighters are civil servants who protect the safety and livelihood of the people. Many characters involved in official duties also appear in the anime.

Their roles vary, including police officers with a sense of justice and brave firefighters, as well as government officials who support the lives of citizens, bureaucrats who use calm judgments to drive policies, and soldiers who take command on the battlefield. Furthermore, there are also civil servant characters that are unique to anime that cannot be seen in real life, such as detectives who use magic and supernatural powers to corner the perpetrators, or members of special agencies that oppose the invasion of monsters and aliens.
