The short story at Ghibli Park in March will be “Yado Sagashi” Tamori & Akiko Yano will be in charge of “sound and voice”
Welcome back to the I Am Anime website
The latest information on “Ghibli Park” for this spring has been announced, and it has been decided that the short animation “Yado Sagashi” will be screened.
Ghibli Park, located in Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture, is a park facility that expresses the world of Studio Ghibli’s works. It consists of five areas: Ghibli’s Great Warehouse, Youth Hill, Dondoko Forest, Mononoke no Sato, and Witch’s Valley.
At the Orionza video exhibition room in Ghibli’s large warehouse, short animated films produced by Studio Ghibli are shown on a monthly basis. “Meito Neko Bus” (directed by Hayao Miyazaki) will be screened in January, and “Chuzumo” (directed by Akihiko Yamashita) will be screened in February.
The film to be screened in March, “Yado Sagashi” (directed by Hayao Miyazaki), tells the story of Fuki, a cheerful girl who goes on a journey in search of a new home.
There are almost no lines, and all audio is expressed using only human voices. This is a rare piece of work in which characters appear on the screen to represent the movement, appearance, and sounds of objects in the scene. The “voices” are provided by Tamori and Akiko Yano.
In addition, the stall of the restaurant “Flying Oven” in Witch’s Valley will be selling grilled frogs (strawberry chocolate) for a limited time (February 5th to March 31st).
At the Witch’s Valley’s “Coven of 13 Witches”, new products based on “Howl’s Moving Castle” were released at the end of last year, and at the Ghibli warehouse, two winter illuminations with the motif of “Howl’s Moving Castle” were installed. The event will be held until the 3rd of the month (Monday).
Tickets for Ghibli Park must be reserved. Tickets for March admission will go on sale on Friday, January 10th at 2:00 p.m.
