Shibata Yokusal’s latest work by Hachi One Diver, “Tanzaburo Higashijima Want to Become a Kamen Rider” is now available as an anime! Shocker attack event too!?

It has been revealed that Shibata Yokusal’s manga “Tanzaburo Higashijima Wants to Become a Kamen Rider” will be made into an anime. Following the announcement, a visual and special video commemorating Shibata Yokusal’s decision to make it into an anime have been released. Voice actors and the latest information will also be announced at the AnimeJapan 2025 stage, which will be held on March 22nd and 23rd, 2025.
“Tanzaburo Higashijima Wants to Become a Kamen Rider” is a manga written by Shibata Yokusar, who also works with Ishimori Pro and Toei, who also works with “Air Master” and “Hachi One Diver.” It was serialized in “Monthly Heroes” since the June 2018 issue, and is currently being serialized on the manga distribution site “Comipre-Comiplex.” A “serious Kamen Rider” plays out by adults who love Kamen Rider too much.
“I wanted to be a Kamen Rider,” says Tojima Tanzaburo, who was seriously trying to become a Kamen Rider even at the age of 40. However, when he almost gives up on his dream, he becomes involved in a “fake shocker” robbery that is causing a stir.
With the recent announcement of the anime adaptation, a commemorative visual by Shibata Yokusal has been released. Like volumes 1 and 13 of the comics, Higashijima Tanzaburo is depicted in a pose with a Kamen Rider mask on his head. Shibata also commented passionately about the anime adaptation, saying, “I never thought the day would come when Higashijima Tanzaburo scream at his heart’s content in an anime!!”
The special footage of the manga moving frames was also unveiled. This video will be even more exciting until the day when “Serious Kamen Rider Play” finally moves in the anime.
A presentation for this work has also been decided to be held at the Aniplex booth at AnimeJapan 2025 on March 23rd. In addition to the announcement of the voice actors who play Higashijima Tanzaburo, new information about the anime will also be released. However, it is said that Shocker has received a preview of the attack on the stage of the production presentation. Shockers are aiming for the Aniplex booth, and will their heroes appear in this unprecedented crisis?
