Key visual for the second season of the TV anime “The Apothecary’s Monologue”

“The Apothecary’s Monologue” is a Harem mystery-solving entertainment based on a novel that has sold over 40 million copies in total by Hinata Natsu, published by Hero Bunko and has also been adapted into comics for Big Gangan and Sunday GX. Set in the medieval East, the story depicts Nekoneko, a girl who plays the role of “Dogbi,” as she solves various difficult cases that occur at the Imperial Court one after another.

The second season, which began airing in January 2025, has always been ranked high on various streaming platforms. The first exhibition, the TV anime “The Apothecary’s Monologue” Exhibition, will begin on March 26th, and the announcement that a collaboration will be held at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) this summer, bringing even more excitement.

The second season finally revealed the true identity of Michiji in episode 36, “Kazuizuki,” which aired on March 28th. However, the first season ends without the dark clouds that surround the harem, wondering why Michiji’s life is being targeted. And the second season will start on April 4th without a break.

This is an incident that targets the abortion agent that was mixed into a foreign caravan and brought into the harem, the malice and resentment that have been rampant in the harem since the time of the previous emperor, and the life of Michi, which has happened again. The true nature of the malice that had nestled in the harem is finally revealed to the emperor and the queens. Miyoshi holds the key to unraveling his true identity, and a new trial and decision approaches.
Meanwhile, Nekoneko goes missing. And they develop into a turbulent shaking the country. All of the previous incidents are connected, and the poison that quietly circulates in the harem finally reveals its true identity. So what is the truth that is revealed there? Expectations are only rising for the second season, as it is getting more and more exciting.

The key visual for the second season was also shown in the release of a cat cat being taken somewhere in a blizzard. A rope is turned around in his hand, creating an ominous mood, but Nekoneko’s eyes look straight ahead. It will be interesting to see what kind of challenges Nekoneko will face in the future, and what will happen next.

“The Apothecary’s Monologue” April Calendar

The second season of the TV anime “The Apothecary’s Monologue” will begin airing on April 4th, 2025. The content calendar and April broadcast and event calendar have also been released, so we can’t take our eyes off this ever-increasingly exciting film.

Mrs. GREEN APPLE

We are very honored to have been able to connect with the “The Apothecary’s Monologue,” which is loved not only in Japan but also overseas. We thought about what we could put into our work with what we have, and created a song called “Kusshiki.”
We decided to title “Kusushiki” from the ancient word “kusushi,” which is the origin of the word “medicine.” A drug that can help others and can become poisonous. Taking inspiration from the fact that it originally meant “mystical” and “mysterious”, we expanded our worldview in both the melody and lyrics.
With our unique band sound, we are also taking on a new challenge as Mrs. GREEN APPLE, incorporating the oriental atmosphere typical of “A Pharmacy” into melody and instruments. The theme of “love that goes beyond this life and continues to remain unchanged in the next life,” so although this song is unfolding rapidly, I would be happy if you could enjoy it line-by-line along with the story. The story that goes on in the future will become even more exciting, so I hope you will enjoy it along with the music.

Omoinotake

The ending of the important scenes is also a story.
The tip of the arrow of feelings changes every episode.
What kind of song would suit you?
I can’t talk much about it here yet, but I made it with that in mind.
I was able to write a “single” that will make you hear in a variety of ways as you follow the story.
The world of modern times and the “apologetics’ monologue” is filled with differences in values and views of life and death, but forever
I feel like I was able to create a song with the unchanging “universality.”
In a world full of sadness, a millimeter of hope,
Please share it with you.
