“Sanrio” Cinnamoroll, Pochacco, Kuromi… Make your favorite “1st place” ♪ Commemorative items for “Sanrio Character Award” now available

Sanrio will release four-part items from the annual popularity poll event, “Sanrio Character Awards,” four times from April 10th, 2025. The first lineup includes “embroidered patch keychains” and “secret name tag badges.”

The 2025 Sanrio Character Award is a popularity voting event in which characters selected from over 450 Sanrio characters are entered and the ranking is determined based on the number of votes.

This year’s theme is “Towards the future with you, Janpu! ‘. This theme is based on the desire to expand the circle of smiles and happiness from Sanrio to the world, as the Sanrio Character Awards celebrate its milestone year of its 40th anniversary, and to bring the future to the world with our fans to the next “Jump!”

40th anniversary items will be released one after another in conjunction with the 2025 Sanrio Character Award, which will start at 11am on April 10th.

The first edition includes “embroidered patch keychains” (40 types in total) that highlight many characters, “secret name tag badges” (30 types in total) and “secret rubber mirror keychains” (30 types in total) as secret items that are available in a wide range of characters.

Each item has a cute design that will make you feel better just by wearing it on your bag or belongings. The “Embroidered Patch Keychain” features a total of 40 characters, and there is a wide variety of each item and character.

The selection is also spectacular and will make you want to collect items from your favorite characters and characters you’re interested in. The first item in the Character Awards will be released on April 10th.

The second installment will be titled “I○ME Series Part 1” on April 16th, with a total of 10 types of “plucked toys” including Hello Kitty, Pom Pom Pullin, Pochacco and Tuxedo Sam, a total of 10 types of “Secret Charms” and a total of 10 types of “Custom Keychains.”

The “Plucky Toy” and “Secret Charm” are designed in which each character hugs their stuffed animals tightly, expressing I○ME (Let’s fall in love with you more! Feeling of cherishing yourself). The second item in the Character Awards will be released on April 16th.

In “Part 2,” which will be released later, three items will be released: My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, Wish Memel, Hanamaru Ghost, and Little Forest Fero.

The third installment is “Choose Mini Drawstring Bag.” This item allows you to choose and combine one face-shaped mini drawstring bag and one mini drawstring bag with a design on the entire surface. The fourth installment will feature “I○ME Series Part 2.” For details, please see the official Sanrio portal site, the third installment will be announced on April 23rd, and the fourth installment will be announced on May 7th.

Each of the Character Award items will be available at Sanrio’s direct stores, Sanrio Online shops, and department stores at Sanrio corners.

The voting period for the 2025 Sanrio Character Awards is from 11:00 on April 10th to May 25th. The interim announcement (1st to 20th place) will be held on May 13th, and the results announcement (1st to 90th place) will be held on June 29th. Sanrio Shop is also currently running a project where you can receive a total of 90 types of smile voting novelty, “Digital Characters Card.”
