Welcome back to the I Am Anime website
A collaboration collection between the TV anime “Kill la Kill” and GEEKS Rule has been released. The bassist of BUMP OF CHICKEN is Naoi Yufumi, who is involved in planning and producing the project.

“Kill la Kill” is a completely original anime produced by Imaishi Hiroyuki and Nakajima Kazuki in 2013. Matoi Ryuko is a wandering high school girl who transfers to Instinctive Academy in pursuit of the mysterious “woman with a single sword and scissors” of her father’s death. Instinct Academy has a “goku-school uniform” that gives special abilities to those who wear it, and Kiryuin Satsuki, the student council president, ruled the school.
The flashy battle scenes set in the school and the high-energy story of the unique direction have been a hot topic since then, and is still captivating many viewers today.

This collaboration between Kill la Kill and GEEKS RULE was realized with the appeal of BUMP OF CHICKEN’s Naoi Yufumi. Naoi has a deep love for subcultures such as anime and deep knowledge, and this time we have selected one of his favorite works, Kill la Kill. In addition to the 3-type T-shirt, GEEKS RULE will release its first silkscreen poster.

The “T-shirt” design includes a teaser poster visual, a visual of Mat Ryuko, covered in divine blood that was created for a magazine, and a cover illustration of the magazine “Monthly Newtype.” All of the work was done by Sushio, the character designer.
The collection is also a special collection, with two models using an overseas logo that is not normally used for items in Japan. The print uses 15 silk screen printing, which is highly divided into sheets, to reproduce the impactful illustrations of Sushio.

For the key visual, a model named Ana, who has an interaction with Naoi. You can’t miss this one either. The T-shirts will be available in three types, vol. 01 to vol. 03, as “KILL la KILL x GEEKS RULE 15 SILKSCREEN PRINTING T SHIRT.”

The silkscreen poster “KILL la KILL x GEEKS RULE NEO SILKSCREEN PRINTING POSTER” is available in limited edition for 100 copies. The film was produced by 360° GRAPHICS, a silkscreen workshop that has worked on works by artists such as Yokoo Tadanori, and is printed using the “Neo Silkscreen” technique that combines giclee printing and silkscreen printing.
