The TV anime “Lycorice Recoil” reappears in Bushiroad’s card game “Weiss Schwarz”. “Premium Booster Licorice Recoil”, which includes 50 types + 66 parallel cards, will be released from November 15, 2024.
“Lycorice Recoil” is an original TV anime directed by Shingo Adachi, who was in charge of character design and chief animation director for popular works such as “Sword Art Online” and the “WORKING!!” series. The film depicts the activities of Chizuku Nishikigi, a free-spirited optimist, Takina Inoue, a cool and efficient person, and other members of “Lycoris,” who complete their duties as agents for the secret organization “DA (Direct Attack),” which prevents crime.
When it was broadcast from July to September 2022, it gained many fans despite being an original animation with no original work, and has expanded into various developments such as novelization, comicalization, and stage adaptation. A new original short movie project has recently started, and it has been announced that six short movies will be produced depicting daily life set at Cafe Riko Rico.
This work has now reappeared in Bushiroad’s two-player trading card game “Weiss Schwarz.” It was released as a “Trial Deck & Booster Pack” in 2023, but this time new cards are included as a “Premium Booster”.
The cards included are 50 types + 66 parallel types, and use illustrations drawn by a total of 40 popular illustrators. Very rarely, a special specification card with a serial number is included, making it an extremely luxurious specification.
Each pack contains 4 cards, one of which will always include a sparkling foil-stamped card. This is a character card game that is fun to collect and play.
“Premium Booster Licorice Recoil” will be released from November 15th. The price is 660 yen (tax included) for 1 pack, and 3,960 yen (tax included) for 1 box of 6 packs.
