Gen Urobuchi x Seiji Mizushima “Exile from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart” to be released in 2026! Key visuals and special news also released

A completely new theatrical animation “Expelled from Paradise – Resonance of the Heart”, which is a sequel to the first original theatrical work “Expelled from Paradise”, written by Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus) and directed by Seiji Mizushima, will be released in 2026. It has been revealed that the film is scheduled to be released. Along with the announcement, a key visual and special video were also unveiled.

“Expelled from Paradise” was released in November 2014 as a first-class entertainment that combines a grand sci-fi vision and eye-popping action. Seiji Mizushima (Mobile Suit Gundam 00) is the director, and Gen Urobuchi (Nitroplus), the director of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, wrote the script. It was the first original theatrical work for both of them, in which two top creators teamed up head-on, and it was a huge hit and received high praise from all quarters.

The story begins when humanity’s safe haven, the cyber world Diva, is mysteriously hacked. So what is the purpose of hacking? Investigator Anjula, accompanied by the mobile exoskeleton Arhan, descends onto the devastated land. A powerful staff led by director Mizushima has visualized the large-scale vision of the future born from Urobuchi’s imagination with overwhelming sense. The cast includes Rie Kugimiya, Shinichiro Miki, Hiroshi Kamiya, and other talented people who have supported Mizushima’s works, breathing life into the otherwise human characters.

It has recently been revealed that the sequel, a completely new animated movie, “Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart,” is scheduled to be released in 2026. In addition to Mizushima and Urobuchi, the original production team including character designer Masashi Saito and music composer NARASAKI will reunite to draw a new story beyond “Expelled from Paradise.” Along with the announcement, key visuals and special news were also released, raising expectations for future news.

In addition, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the release of “Expelled from Paradise”, a revival screening of “Impelled by 10th Anniversary” will be held for a limited time of two weeks starting November 15th.
