“Sportiva Volleyball Special 2024 Winter” will be released on December 10, 2024. A special appendix is included as a special supplement: a visual book of “Haikyu!!” quotes in which 55 SV Leaguers share their favorite quotes.
“Haikyu!!” is an anime based on the manga by Haruichi Furudate, which has sold over 60 million copies. Set in high school volleyball, the story depicts the growth of the members of Karasuno High School’s boys’ volleyball club, including the protagonists Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama.
Since it was first made into a TV anime in 2014, it has become a hot topic for its passionate youth story that realistically depicts the characters’ efforts and conflicts, its realistic match scenes, and the passionate performances by its gorgeous voice actors. The TV anime series continued into its fourth season and became a huge hit, with a theatrical compilation being produced as well. Also, from February of this year, the sequel “Haikyu the Movie!! Battle at the Garbage Dump” was released and became a mega hit with worldwide box office revenue exceeding 20 billion yen.
“Sportiva Volleyball Special 2024 Winter” will be released on December 10th. As the popularity of volleyball continues to grow, with the opening of the domestic volleyball league “SV League” that aims to “aim to be the best in the world” in October, Yuki Ishikawa, Yushi Nishida, and Ai Takahashi are among the top players in the world. This magazine features special photos of Yuki Ishikawa, Yushi Nishida, Ai Takahashi, and other Japanese national team players who are active both domestically and internationally, and a special supplement includes a visual book with a collection of famous quotes from “Haikyu!!”.
The special supplement, the Visual Book of “Haikyu!!” Quotes, is a 32-page booklet in which 55 SV League players passionately talk about their favorite quotes and their favorite quotes.
Just looking at the cover, you can see the main character Shoyo Hinata saying, “I haven’t lost yet,” Inarizaki High School’s setter, Yu Miya, saying, “I supported you with more people, setter Yamon,” and Karasuno High School’s volleyball club advisor, Takeda. There are famous quotes that would have touched anyone’s heart at least once, such as Ittetsu’s “Is losing a proof of weakness?” A must-see appendix for fans, it is a preserved version filled with character illustrations and famous quotes, as well as the players’ love for Haikyu!!.
This issue is full of interviews with players who are entering the new season, as well as photos of them playing with their teams and practice scenes.
