The popular work “Tacopi’s Original Sin” will be made into an anime! Teaser visual & PV released depicting “the happiest story”

It has been announced that the manga “Tacopi’s Original Sin,” which is celebrating its third anniversary since its serialization, will be made into an anime. Along with the announcement, a teaser visual depicting the main characters, Tacopy, was released. In addition, a PV that will be screened at Shinjuku Altavision for one day only on December 10, 2024 has also been unveiled.
“Takopee’s Original Sin” is a manga by Taizan 5 that was serialized and distributed on the manga magazine app “Shonen Jump+” (Shueisha) from December 2021 to March 2022. Although it was serialized for a short period of time, it gained popularity as a hot topic, recording the highest number of views among works serialized at the same time. Despite having only 2 volumes, the number of copies published has exceeded 1.4 million, and it holds the record of being selected as 3rd place in the men’s edition of “This Manga is Amazing! 2023”.
The story begins when Tacopy, a happy alien who descends on Earth to spread happiness, meets Shizuka, a human girl. After being saved from a difficult situation, Tacopy decides to use a happy tool that has mysterious powers to help bring back Shizuka’s smile. However, Shizuka seems to be having some issues at home and at school…
It depicts the happiest story of Tacopi and Shizuka.
Now, on the third anniversary since the series started, it has been decided that it will be made into an anime. It is known that the project will be planned and produced by TBS TV, and additional information will be announced at Jump Festa 2025, which will be held on December 21st and 22nd, 2024.
A teaser visual was released in conjunction with the decision to make it into an anime. The main characters, Tacopy and Shizuka, and their pet Chappie are depicted. Please take a look at the Tacopies sleeping close together and the items included in the details.
Additionally, a PV that uses the teaser visual to determine whether it will be made into an anime has also been released. The PV will be screened at Shinjuku Altavision for one day only on December 10th.
In addition, the short video series “Tacopee and Travel”, which has been released since September to commemorate the 10th anniversary of “Shonen Jump +”, reached its final episode on December 10th. In the final episode, Tacopy visits Shinjuku Alta and it has been decided that it will be made into an anime.
