“One Piece” Luffy and Hancock’s costumes have been renewed! An action figure with a new look

Megahouse’s action figures, which are three-dimensional versions of Monkey D. Luffy and Boa Hancock from “ONE PIECE,” are now available in new outfits. Pre-orders are now being accepted at the hobby mail order site AmiAmi.

“ONE PIECE” is an ocean adventure romance based on the manga by Eiichiro Oda, currently being serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump”. The main character, Monkey D. Luffy, a boy who has eaten a “Devil Fruit” and has special abilities, forms the “Straw Hat Pirates” with his friends and goes on an adventure surrounding “One Piece”. Depicts a person aiming to become the Pirate King.

The TV anime, which began broadcasting in 1999, has always been a very popular long series, and in 2021 it will finally surpass 1000 episodes. 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of broadcasting. Many theatrical versions have also been produced, and the 15th film, “ONE PIECE FILM RED,” exceeded 20 billion yen in box office revenue. In addition, numerous media mix works such as games and related products have been created, and related events are being held without interruption.

The “Variable Action Heroes ONE PIECE Ver.1.5 Action Figure”, which is currently accepting pre-orders, is a new version of Monkey D. Luffy and Boa Hancock from Megahouse’s action figure series “Variable Action Heroes”.

Luffy not only has an attractive sculpt and realistic paint job, but also comes with a cloth cloak, making it even more playable. Optional parts include 3 types of expression parts and a total of 6 fist parts on the left and right sides. The straw hat can also be put on and taken off, allowing you to recreate poses that suit the situation.

Hancock, whose costume has also been renewed, has been recreated as an action figure to the fullest extent of her appearance, which is said to be the most beautiful woman in the world. You can enjoy impressive situations such as the “look down” pose and the “mellow” effect parts. I would also like to pay attention to the skirt part of the dress, which has been updated with details and patterns that look more like cloth.

Prices include tax, “Variable Action Heroes ONE PIECE Monkey D. Luffy Ver.1.5 Action Figure” is 10,450 yen, and “Variable Action Heroes ONE PIECE Boa Hancock Ver.1.5 Action Figure” is 10,890 yen.
