A long wallet from PREMICO, which has created a collaboration between the TV anime “The Apothecary’s Monologue” and the traditional craft “Nishijin Ori,” has been released, featuring a large number of character goods in collaboration with traditional crafts from all over Japan. Two types of models are available at the PREMICO online shop: Nekoneko and Miyoshi models.
“The Apothecary’s Monologue” is a harem mystery-solving entertainment based on the novel of the same name by Hinata Natsu. Set in the harem, the story depicts Nekoneko, a girl who has become a pharmacist and plays the role of a poisonous woman, using her knowledge of poison and medicine to solve various difficult cases that occur in the Imperial Court one after another. It has also been adapted into comics in two monthly magazines, “Big Gangan” and “Sunday GX”, and the total number of copies published by the series exceeds 38 million.
The first season of the TV anime will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons from October 2023, and its popularity is due to its mystery drama by the rare poison-loving girl Nekoneko, and the comical exchange between Nekoneko and the handsome eunuch Miyoshi. He also won the number one trending spot on X (formerly Twitter). The second season has been airing in two consecutive seasons since January 10th, 2025, and many fans are attracting attention.
The recent “The Apothecary’s Monologue: Nishijin-woven Long Wallet” is a total of two long wallets, with a custom-made design inspired by Nekoneko and Miyoshi, along with the glossy worldview of the work. The Nekoneko model has a green woven fabric inspired by her, with arabesque patterns and a kitten silhouette. In the center is a cedar pattern reminiscent of the collar of the costume. Items from the story are casually woven into them, such as the necklace given to her by Princess Tamayo.
The model for Michiji is a dark blue Nishijin weave lined with Chinese-style patterns and a golden obi pattern layered on top, giving it an image of the costume. The beauty and noble atmosphere that everyone will captivate are expressed through gorgeous peony flowers and haze patterns, and the hidden patterns represent the unique character of Miyoshi.
It is characterized by the glossy luster and smooth texture unique to 100% silk, and highlights the high level of skilled craftsmen. The long wallet has a decorative button design, and the pull handle comes with a tassel charm. It is an easy-to-use round zipper type with a total of 19 pockets for excellent storage capacity. It is housed in a special box with the work logo designed on the top, and is delivered with a guarantee card with a character illustration.
