“Nyaite of the Living Cat” will start airing in July 2013! A cast of “cat lovers” such as Mizunaka Masaaki, Ueda Reina, and Kawashima Reiji gathers together, “I’m going to become a cat too!!!”

The broadcast date for the TV anime “Nyaite of the Living Cat” has been decided. It will air on TV Tokyo, BS TV Tokyo, and other channels from July 2025. The second teaser PV has also been announced, with the main cast members including Mizunaka Masaaki, Ueda Reina, Kawashima Reiji, Serizawa Yu, Kimura Subaru, Nakajima Yoshiki, Yasumoto Hiroki, and Takeuchi Ryota.

“Nyaite of the Living Cat” is based on a manga currently being serialized on “Monthly Comic Garden” and on the web manga site “MagComi.” The story takes place in the near future, when a virus transforms humans that come into contact with cats into cats, causing “meats” to occur all over the world. It depicts the struggles of humanity as cats become swayed by cats and become cats one after another.

The general director is Miike Takashi, who is said to be a master of violence. The director is Kamiya Tomohiro, who directed “MIX MEISEI STORY: Second Summer, Beyond the Sky,” and the animation production is done by OLM.

The TV anime will start airing on TV Tokyo, BS TV Tokyo and other channels in July. Advance distribution via ABEMA and distribution via various services will also be available. The second teaser PV depicts cats controlling the Earth through a Nyandemic. Will humanity be able to survive in a panic-filled world?

The main cast members were also selected to love cats. The main character, Kunagi, is played by Mizunaka Masaaki, who says that although he owns a dog, he also likes cats. Ueda Reina, who lives with two cats, plays the role of Kaoru, who acts with Kunagi.
