From “Ghost in the Shell STAND ALONE COMPLEX,” a watch, wallet, backpack, smartphone pouch and tool pouch inspired by Kusanagi Motoko and Tachikoma are now available. Starting February 24th, 2025, pre-orders will begin on the special page of the Anime Collection, which sells original anime merchandise.
Ghost in the Shell is a science fiction work that was serialized in 1989 by manga artist Shirow Masamune in the fifth issue of Young Magazine’s Pirate Edition, a special edition of Young Magazine’s manga magazine Young Magazine in 1989. Kusanagi Motoko, a full-body prosthetic body (cyborg), with excellent abilities in cyber warfare and fighting, has the rank of “major.” This story depicts the offensive unit Ghost in the Shell, which has her as its leader, confronts the increasingly complex violent crimes.
With realistic and precise illustrations, we explore cyberpunk elements and philosophical themes. The elements that deeply explored the fusion of human and technology, and the identity of human beings influenced many creators.
“Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX” is a TV anime directed by Kamiyama Kenji and aired in 2002. In 2026, a new TV series in which Science SARU will be responsible for producing animations has also been decided to air.
All of the people who have appeared recently are inspired by the world of Kusanagi Motoko, Tachikoma, the Thought Tank, and the works. Chronograph watches will be produced for a special limited edition of 2,000 items. The edition number is engraved on the back cover and delivered in a special box that resembles the world of cybers.
The leather backpack is also made from luxurious genuine leather. The stylish design features connectors that appear in the story, handgun triggers, and metal charms inspired by Tachikoma’s hands.
The long wallet and bifold wallet are manufactured using the luxury Italian brand leather “MASTROTTO”. The worldview of the work is scattered everywhere.
Also, the smartphone pouch made from Italian leather is inspired by the holster that Kusanagi Motoko loves, and you’d like to carry your smartphone with you stylishly.
The multi-functional tool pouch is made of durable, soft and supple Italian leather. You can stylishly carry tactical pens and flashlights, so you’d like to have them in conjunction with your smartphone pouch.
Pre-orders for each item from Ghost in the Shell STAND ALONE COMPLEX will begin on the special page of the Anime Collection, which sells original anime and game merchandise from February 24, 2025. All of these will be shipped sequentially from mid-July.
