“Ninja and Assassin’s Life together” will be broadcast in April 2025! “Kunoichi x killer high school girl” dark comedy produced by Shaft

It has been announced that the TV anime “Ninja and Assassin no Futari Gurashi” will be broadcast in July 2025. Along with this, a new key visual and teaser PV have been released. It has also been announced that new characters will be cast including Yu Serizawa, Eri Kitamura, and Rumi Okubo, and comments have been received.

“Ninja and Assassin Futari Living” is a manga currently being serialized by Hamburger in Dengeki Daiouji. The dark comedy between Satoko, a naive kunoichi, and Konoha, a murderous high school girl, is gaining popularity. Volume 4 of the book is currently on sale.

Satoko Kunoichi escapes from the ninja village and collapses in the street, but is saved by Konoha, a high school girl passing by. However, that is short-lived as Satoko is found by pursuers from the village. However, Konoha’s true identity is an assassin, as she easily takes revenge on her pursuers. The story revolves around the beginning of a dangerous life together between a naive kunoichi and a murderous high school girl.

It has been decided that the TV anime of this work will start broadcasting from July 2025. A new key visual has been released, depicting not only the main characters Satoko and Konoha, but also new characters Izutsumi Marine, Kuro, Yuriko, and Roboko.

The voice actors for four additional characters have also been announced. Yu Serizawa plays Marin Izutsumi, who sees Konoha as her rival. Although he does not have any fighting ability himself, he is the type who fights by making full use of various inventions. So, she is a killer girl who thinks that Satoko is the reason for Konoha’s rise in the killer rankings, so she kidnaps her.

Eri Kitamura will play the role of Kuro, the leader of the ninjas who escaped from the village with Satoko in tow. He is able to use the ninjutsu of memory erasure and has a kind-hearted personality, caring for Satoko when he gets involved, but he is currently unemployed and enjoying the life of a pachislot addict.

Rumi Okubo plays Yuriko, an ordinary person who lives with Kuro. She is a voluptuous beauty and a kind and sensible person, but she has the air of a strange person as she easily accepts ninjas and assassins. We have also received special comments from the three people announced this time.

Also, the robot child created by Marin and modeled after Satoko is played by Kagetsu Mikawa, the same voice actor as Satoko. It has many useful functions that far exceed Satoko’s, and it is a robot that Konoha likes.

A teaser PV using footage from the anime for the first time has been released, where you can see characters drawn by the popular animation production company Shaft. The content is such that you can already enjoy the interesting interactions between Satoko, played by Kagetsu Mikawa, and Konoha, played by Kana Hanazawa.

I will play the role of Marine. My name is Yu Serizawa. When I read this work for the first time, I thought it would be fun to make it into an anime! I would love to see it with voices!
Then, I was so happy to find myself among them. Marin is an overwhelmingly pitiful and cute person who pretends to be a tsukkomi.
I can’t help but fall in love with Marin, who is caught up in the chaos of Satoko and Konoha and has been going crazy for the rest of her life. Thank you very much for your support!

Black role: Eri Kitamura

I’m Eri Kitamura, and I’ll be playing the role of Kuro, the leader of the Ninja.
In this work, which has a heartwarming, pop-y yet dark comedy, it seems like the only person with common sense… like a bad person… (lol)
Even before the recording began, I was talking to Kana Hanazawa saying, “I’m looking forward to the dubbing,” and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the anime will build on the unique worldview of the original manga!

Yuriko role: Rumi Okubo

Yuriko is a member of society with common sense, which is rare in this work (lol)… She’s a proper adult woman!
I’m worried that Kuro-chan, the lovey-dovey lover, is in a pimp state…but she’s also a great confidant for Satoko and Konoha, so I hope to be able to show off her kind and tolerant older sister personality to the fullest. I think so.
