A completely new CG animation movie of “PUI PUI Molcar”, “PUI PUI Molcar The Movie MOLMAX”, will be released nationwide from November 29, 2024. It has recently been announced that a sequel film will be produced as an afterthought to the main story. Furthermore, it has been revealed that the “Sushi Molkar” (salmon, mackerel, and shrimp) that appears in this work will take on a new appearance in the main story.
“PUI PUI Molcar” is a stop-motion animation filled with healing, friendship, adventure, and crazy action that takes place in a world where guinea pigs are turned into cars. Due to its cuteness and the novelty of having an actual guinea pig as the voice actor, the novel worldview, characters, and dynamic images have captivated everyone from children to adults since it began broadcasting in 2021. It sparked a global “molcar boom” and the new series “PUI PUI Molcar DRIVING SCHOOL” aired in 2022 was also well received.
“PUI PUI Molcar The Movie MOLMAX”, a completely new CG animation movie, is directed by Mankyu, who has also worked on “Sumikko Gurashi the Movie: Pop-up Picture Book and the Secret Child”, and the screenplay includes the “Chihayafuru” series and “Chihayafuru” series.
