The mini-anime has been restarted for the second season of “Freen Funeral”! Streamed on YouTube and other channels from April to September

The second season of the TV anime “Frelen Funeral” will be broadcast on Nippon Television from January 2026. In preparation for this, the mini-anime “Funeral Freen: ●●’s Magic” has been relaunched, which was a hot topic with 11 broadcasts being distributed on YouTube, X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok during the first season. On April 2, 2025, the new work, “The Magic of Growing Height” was released.

“Frelen of Funeral” is a manga based on the original work by Yamada Kaneto, which is currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday, and illustrated by Abetsukasa. Set in the world of “aftermath” when the Demon King was defeated by the hero and his party, the story depicts the journey of Frelen, a wizard who has lived for over a thousand years who defeated the Demon King along with the hero, and the people she meets new.

The story of the characters woven together, including heart-pounding dramas and lines that unfold in a novel chronological order called “After Demon King defeat,” battles with magic and swords, and humor that will make you laugh, has gained a lot of readers. The comics currently on sale now have a total circulation of over 24 million copies, making them increasingly popular.

Based on this, the TV anime series, which was produced by Madhouse, depicts the first season of the TV anime, in which the battle unfolds to obtain the qualification of the “first class wizard” that is necessary to aim for the “Oreol,” the land where the soul rests, which is the destination for Frelen and his friends’ journey.

The second season, which will air in January 2026, continues from the end of the first season, when Frelen, his disciple, Fern, who has qualified as a first-class wizard, and Stark, a warrior, set off again from the land of Oythurst, the setting of the First-class Wizard Exam, and the original story begins with episode 61, which is included in the seventh volume of the comic.

“Funeral Frelen: ●●’s Magic” which has recently been restarted for the second season is a mini-anime based on an original scenario. The story depicts Frelen, an official deformed character designed by illustrator Mebachi and his friends experimenting with various “magics” during their journey. As of April 1st, the average number of views on YouTube for all 11 videos distributed during the first season, including “The Magic of Saying What You Think” and “The Magic of Getting to Wake Up at a Fixed Time in the Morning,” had reached 1.7 million.

The first new work is “The Magic that Makes You Grow Height.” Frelen is often stroked by Heiter on his journey through the hero party of Frelen, Himmel, Heiter and Eisen. Frelen was told that it was just the right height to stroke her head, and remembered the “magic that will increase your height” he received as a reward. So, what will the ending of this “magic” bring about?

The new release of “Frelen of Funeral – ●●’s Magic” will start with this “Magic that will increase your height,” and will be released on the YouTube TOHO animation channel on the first Wednesday of every month from April to September on the anime “Frelen of Funeral” official X and TikTok.
