It has been announced that the new TV anime “Masuda Kosuke Theatre Gag Manga Beyond GO” will be broadcast from April 7th, 2025. As a result, the main PV has been released. The theme song, “Our Gag Manga Day” was also unveiled.

“Masuda Kosuke Theater: Gag Manga Day” is a gag manga by Masuda Kosuke, whose cumulative circulation of the series has exceeded 6 million copies as of January 2020. A wide variety of characters, including Prince Shotoku, Matsuo Basho, and Usami-chan, are dragged into a unique worldview through the surreal jokes created by Masuda. It has been serialized in the January 2000 issue of “Monthly Shonen Jump,” and this year marks its 25th anniversary. It is currently being serialized in Jump Square.

Masuda Kosuke Theater Gag Manga Hiyori GO is the fifth time in 15 years since the fourth season of “Gag Manga Hiyori+” in 2010. Under the direction of Daichi Heitaro, Masuda Kosuke Theater: Gag Manga Day (3rd and 4th seasons), Hetalia World★Stars, and Blessings on This Wonderful World! The cast will be Prince Shotoku, Kawai Sora, Maeda Tsuyoshi as Kumayoshi, Takemoto Hidefumi as Ono Imoko, Naito Rei as Matsuo Basho, and Sato Narumi as Usami-chan. Additionally, Ueda Yuji, Nazuka Kaori, Yabe Masashi, Ono Kensho and others will also be participating.

The main PV released this time is played with the theme song “Our Gag Manga Day,” sung by Ueda Yuji, and is played with full excitement, with the excitement typical of this work. In addition, some voices were unveiled, including Prince Shotoku (CV: Maeda Tsuyoshi), Ono Imoko (CV: Takemoto Hidefumi), Matsuo Basho (CV: Naito Rei), Kawai Sora (CV: Maeda Tsuyoshi), Usami-chan (CV: Sato Narumi), Kumayoshi-kun (CV: Maeda Tsuyoshi), and some voices, including Tachibana Kitae, played by the new cast member Ono Kensho.

The theme song, “Our Gag Manga Beyond,” was written by the original author Masuda. The ending song is “Happy Go Go Lucky Ending,” sung by Kan Tetsuya, and both songs are composed by Yamamoto Harukichi, who has worked on the theme songs and background music for the series.

In addition, a collaboration visual with VTuber group Aogiri High School, the official cheerleader for this work, has also been released. This is a special illustration featuring VTuber “Suruse Reimou” who serves as the cheerleader, Prince Shotoku will be wearing character costumes, “Tsuki Goibuki” will be Kawai Sora, “Urutora Garu” will be Matsuo Basho, and “Eighty Ceremony Mujina” will be Ono Imoko.

This work will also be exhibited at Shueisha DeNA Projects booth at AnimeJapan 2025, scheduled to be held on March 22nd and March 23rd, 2025.
