A teaser visual and a PV that has been decided to be made into an anime have been released. The main cast including Ishitani Haruki, Iwami Manaka, Suzushiro Sayumi, and Hasegawa Ikuchu were also announced, and comments have arrived.

“Kuranika,” also known as “I Became a Friend with the Second Cutest Girl in my Class,” is a life-size “friend” romantic comedy by Takata, who won a special award in the “Romantic Comedy category” at the “6th Kakuyomu Web Novel Contest.”

Maehara Maki, who is alone in her class, has made her first friend, Asanagi Umi. Umi is always at the center of the circle and is rumored to be “the second-cute in her class” by other boys, and I thought that the world she lives in is different from what I mean by her alone Maki… It won the grand prize in the paperback category of “Next Light Novel 2023”, and has gained popularity, with the total number of copies sold, including the manga adaptation by Ono Rin.

The TV anime, which has been decided to be broadcast in 2026, will be directed by Tachibana Hideki, and will be composed and written by Daichi Keiichiro, character design by Takimoto Shoko, and animation production by CONNECT.

It took about a year and seven months to be released from the announcement ongoing on the anime adaptation project in September 2023, and it took me a little while for the announcement, but I am relieved to be able to first inform you of the decision.
