“Kinnikuman” Celebrate the New Year with red and white! “Kinnikuman Monaka” 2nd edition of New Year special edition released

As the second edition of “Kinnikuman Monaka” decorated with “Kinnikuman”, “Kinnikuman Kouhaku Monaka”, a special New Year edition, is now available. Sales began on January 15, 2025 at Kinnikuman’s official online store “KIN29.COM”.

“Kinnikuman” is a fighting manga that began serialization in “Weekly Shonen Jump” in 1979 by Yudetamago, the original scenario writer Takashi Shimada and the illustrator Yoshinori Nakai. The story depicts Kinnikuman, a clumsy and stupid dropout superman from Planet Kinniku, who eventually grows into the strongest man in the world of superhuman fighting through hard work, friendship, and victory.
It is currently being serialized in Weekly Playboy and Weekly News, and the series has sold over 77 million copies. The anime series began broadcasting in 1983, and the popular series “Kinkesh”, which became a big hit, sold over 180 million units.

The new anime series “Kinnikuman Perfect Choujin Ancestor Edition” will air all 12 episodes of Season 1 from July to September, and Season 2 will begin in January 2025. It depicts the “Perfect Superhuman Progenitor Arc,” one of the most popular original works, which is a continuation of the previously animated “Kinniku Planet Throne Contest Arc”.

“Kinnikuman Monaka” is a cute monaka designed to look like a mini soft vinyl of Kinnikuman, which is a collaboration between toy brand “HKDSTOY” and Fukuoka-based Japanese confectionery shop “Hitsujiya”.

The New Year’s special edition “Kinnikuman Kouhaku Monaka” contains two Kinnikuman Monakas each for red and white. The box containing a total of four items has an original comic design and is delivered with one Kinnikuman sticker included.

Celebrate the New Year by making Kinnikuman Monaka, which you can customize by using warmed bean paste or filling it with the amount of bean paste you like.
