Tsuyoshi Kusao will be the voice actor to replace Toru Amuro, a character appearing in the TV anime Detective Conan, for the episode broadcast on January 18, 2025. Tooru Amuro speaks at the beginning of “Kaito Kid and the Crown Magic (Part 1)” before the opening, and the predictions on social media are heated with “It’s Mr. Kusao!” and “Hey, isn’t that Mr. Kusao from now…??” . “Amuro-san” was the top trending song during the broadcast, and “Kusao-san” was the top trending song after the broadcast.

Tsuyoshi Kusao is a voice actor affiliated with Aoni Production, whose representative works include Hanamichi Sakuragi, the main character of “Slam Dunk,” and Trunks of “Dragon Ball.” The role of Corporal Dororo in “Keroro Sergeant”, “Yes! He has been in charge of various characters for a long time, including Coco in “Pretty Cure 5,” Dorell Rona in “Mobile Suit Gundam F91,” and Yukimura Sanada in “Sengoku Musou.”

Since then, as the broadcast draws closer, “Amuro-san” frequently appears in the trends on X (formerly Twitter). As of January 11th, the week before the episode aired, people were talking about “Maybe Amuro will talk in today’s preview” and “We’ll find out today!?” In the end, although the voice actor was not revealed, it received enough attention that it was ranked high in trends.

Then, on January 18th, Toru Amuro suddenly spoke at the beginning of the opening ceremony. Phantom Thief Kid disguises himself as Azusa Enomoto, who works at the same Cafe Poirot as Tooru Amuro, and while Conan is confused in front of the two Azusas, asking, “Which one is Kid!?”, Azusa Enomoto falls on the floor.
