New song information and First Stage battle card visuals for the movie “HypMic” have been released! A premiere screening with cast members from each division will also be held.

The movie “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-” will be released nationwide on February 21, 2025. Information on the new song by ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo) and others from this work, as well as the battle card visuals for the First Stage 3 battle, have arrived. Furthermore, it has been decided that a luxurious premiere screening event will be held on February 5th, with Subaru Kimura and others on stage.

“Hypnosis Mic” is a character rap project based on music that started in September 2017. A total of 18 unique main characters are divided into 6 teams: “Ikebukuro Division”, “Yokohama Division”, “Shibuya Division”, “Shinjuku Division”, “Osaka Division”, and “Nagoya Division”, and fight for the prestige of men. It depicts a passionate rap battle unfolding.

“Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-“, which will be made into a movie for the first time, is not a simple movie, but the winner of the rap battle that unfolds on the screen is determined by audience voting in the theater, making it the first theatrical movie in Japan to feature audience participation. It’s a type of interactive movie. This is a monumental work that has risen to the top with a story without a plot, and takes a new step into a world that no one in the history of Japanese cinema has been able to step into.It is also the stage where the final division battle will take place.

Details of each battle song that will be performed on the first stage of the rap battle tournament that will be held in the movie have been revealed. At the same time, a battle card visual with the song title prominently displayed has also arrived. This powerfully signals the beginning of the Final Division rap battle that is about to begin.

Among the 16 new songs written specifically for the movie that had been announced, the following three songs were unveiled this time. “Last Man Standing” of “Buster Bros!!!” VS “Bad Ass Temple” which is the 1st Battle. Lyrics are by Amon Hayashi, music is by Amon Hayashi, NAOtheLAIZA, AMP Killer, and arrangement is by NAOtheLAIZA.
The 2nd Battle will be “MAD TRIGGER CREW” vs. “Dotsuitare Honpo” “Out of Harmony”. ALI-KICK was in charge of writing, composing, and arranging the song. “Stick To My Mic” is “Fling Posse” VS “Matenro” which is the 3rd Battle. The lyrics were written by Yanosuke (from AFRO PARKER), and the composition and arrangement was by ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo).

Both songs were produced by a team of creators with a proven track record of providing songs to Hypnosis Mic, making the lineup suitable for the first battle of the Final Division Rap Battle. I can’t wait for the movie to be released and see what kind of song it will be.

Furthermore, on February 5th, it has been decided that a premiere screening of the completed work will be held at a certain location in Tokyo, to which 300 people will be invited by lottery for free. At the preview screening, there will be Subaru Kimura who will play Ichiro Yamada, Shinichiro Kamio who will play Mason Rio Busujima, Yusuke Shirai who will play Ranji Amemura, Sho Hayami who will play Jakurai Jinguuji, Ryota Iwasaki who will play Mokuen, and Hara Sora. Shota Hayama, who plays the role, will be on stage. In addition, director Takanori Tsujimoto and producer Ryo Nakaoka of Polygon Pictures, which produced the animation, will also appear and talk about the highlights of the movie.
Not only will you be able to hear behind-the-scenes stories from the cast and director about the production, but it will also be a rare opportunity to see the movie before anyone else.
