It has been announced that the TV anime “A genius healer who healed in an instant but was banished as useless, lives happily as a dark healer” will be broadcast from April 2025. Along with this, a teaser visual and teaser PV have been released. Comments have also arrived from the main cast members Shogo Sakata, Miharu Hanai, Yoko Hikasa, and the staff.
“Dark Healer”, “A genius healer who used to heal in an instant, but was banished as useless, lives happily as a dark healer” was ranked first in the quarterly general ranking of “Let’s Become a Novelist.” This is a fantasy based on the popular light novel by Sakaku Hishikawa.
Zenos, a young healer who was banished from the adventuring party as being useless, was born into poverty and uses his own healing magic, so he doesn’t even have a license to be a healer. Zenos had no place to go, but after meeting Lili, a dying elf girl, he opened a clinic on the outskirts of a slum, and unknowingly showed his greatest success as an unlicensed genius healer.
The teaser PV that was released this time begins with a treatment scene in which Zenos cuts off a patient’s arm with a scalpel created by magic, and then depicts his activities after being expelled from the adventurer’s party. After saving a dying elf girl, Lili, Zenos decides to open a clinic on the outskirts of a slum, but Carmilla, a wraith who is a top class monster, also appears there. The musical accompaniment by Harumi Fuki and the beautiful visuals produced by Makaria have heightened expectations for the broadcast starting in April 2025.
The teaser visual that was also unveiled depicts Zenos, Lili, and Carmilla walking happily, and it’s like looking into their “happy lives” from the back alleys of a slum. Pay attention to the “fun” life of a genius healer, Zenos, who can heal any injury in an instant.

Zenos (cv Shogo Sakata)
Congratulations on the TV anime adaptation of Dark Healer! My name is Shogo Sakata and I will be playing Zenos. Although Zenos is cool, his perception of his own healing abilities may be quite different from those around him, but I think he is essentially a kind character who says, “I will save every life I can.” .
He doesn’t really bring that to the fore, and since he’s clumsy, he sometimes plays a bit of a villain (heel), but I think that’s part of his charm. He meets cheerful friends such as Lili and Carmilla, and little by little he finds his way to live and saves someone. It’s such a wonderful story, so please take a look.
Lily (cv Miharu Hanai)
Lili-chan, who I will be playing, is in charge of healing in this work! She is a tiny girl who looks like a small animal, and she spends her days with her beloved Zenos and Carmilla as if they were family.
She’s able to do the housework and help Zenos, so I was recording her thinking, “She’ll make a good wife in the future” (lol) There are some scary and scary scenes, though. More than that, the individuality of all the characters shines through, and it’s a work that will leave you smiling after watching it!
Carmilla (CV Yoko Hikasa)
My name is Yoko Hikasa and I play the role of Carmilla. Carmilla is a wraith, a spirit. I think it would be great if I could perform the atmosphere of being freed from the yoke of life, killing time, and enjoying freedom without being bound by existing images or standards. I feel like the theme in the title, “Live happily while healing others,” is a theme that is needed in modern times, so I hope many people will see it!

Every day, I go through trial and error to figure out how to make an outcast, unconscious character look appealing.
We are working with a lot of people as we work on the production so that the fun of the original work can be conveyed.
If it weren’t for the original work called “Dark Healer,” I would not have been able to produce a TV series as a director.
