At the AnimeJapan SP Stage 2025, held on March 23, 2025, the main cast members of episode 35 of the TV anime “The Apothecary’s Monologue” “The Hunting” were featured in episode 35 of the TV anime “The Apothecary’s Monologue,” by Yuuki Aoi, Otsuka Goo, Konishi Katsuyuki, Akabane Kenji, Tachibana Ryumaru and others. On stage, a live dubbing scene featuring a thrilling scene that was popular among fans was performed.

“The Apothecary’s Monologue” is a hugely popular series with a total of over 38 million copies sold. The story follows Nekoneko, the pharmacist’s daughter who has an abnormal obsession with poison and medicine, and Michi, a mysterious and handsome eunuch, take on even more difficult cases that arise in the Imperial Court.
The first season of the TV anime, which aired from October 2023, attracted a lot of attention right after it was aired, and Nekoneko’s thrilling heroine personality, as well as the serious mystery and the human drama that is woven in the harem have attracted a lot of sympathy. This is a work that is truly loved by a wide range of generations of people of all ages and genders. With this enthusiasm still faded, the second season is currently airing from January 10th, 2025. With Princess Tamayashi’s pregnancy, the dark clouds begin to swirl around the harem. And what is the unprecedented unsolved case in which Miyoshi’s life was targeted? The mysteries bring about even more mysteries, and more difficult cases await Nekoneko and Michiji.

At the “Apologetics’s Monologue” AnimeJapan SP Stage 2025, which was held on the RED stage within AnimeJapan 2025, the main cast members from the latest episode 35, “The Hunt,” which was just aired on TV on March 21st, were gathered together.
The event begins with a live dubbing of episode 35, “The Hunt,” by Yuuki and Otsuka. This is the first live dubbing of this film, and the heart-pounding scene between Nekoneko and Michi, which was also a hot topic during the broadcast, and the audience watched with breath. After the event was completed safely, the venue was filled with applause that was almost inflamed.
Yuuki said, “It was so exciting,” and Otsuka said, “I was nervous about playing the role of everyone watching the most recent time,” and looked back at the live dubbing.

After that, Konishi Katsuyuki, who plays Takashun, who watches the two live dubbing on the stage, appears, Akabane Kenji, who plays Li Bai, and Tachibana Ryumaru, who plays Masen. Akabane, who was the first to appear in this film, said, “I’m happy to hear that so many people have come and that the work “A Pharmacy” is getting really popular,” while Tachibana, who was also the first to celebrate, said, “I knew that it was loved by so many people, but I’m filled with happiness to actually meet him today.”

In the talk part, we will talk about the most popular scene from episode 35. Akabane chose the scene that was shown in the live dubbing, saying, “I really like the cave scene. The illustrations in that scene are very good! A good man and a good woman who drips water! I also love the interaction between the two.” Yuki also said, “The artwork for the artificial respiration scene is so good. Has there ever been a Nekoneko with so many highlights on her eyelashes? I was so happy to see Nekoneko look like this to Michi.”

Konishi picks up the interactions between Takajun, whom he plays, and his son Masen, and recalls, “We’ve finally managed to get into a parent-child interaction! As a father, he was really angry. It’s great that we can gradually see the relationship between them.” Tachibana also commented, “Until now, they have been portrayed like a boss and a subordinate, but there are scenes where they co-starred as parents and children. We couldn’t record them together, but since I’ve seen many Konishi-san’s plays, I had a lot of fun dubbing them, imagining how Konishi would play them.”

Otsuka then picked up the various expressions of Michi, and said, “I thought there were a lot of Michi’s calls. I also had the hot, sexy Michi, and I dressed as a masked person.”
In summary, Yuki said, “Up to the first season, “The Apothecary’s Monologue” depicted the harem seen from Nekoneko’s perspective, but since the second season, it also depicted the world seen by people not Nekoneko, and I think that episode 35 was the number of episodes that were particularly noticeable,” he said, citing the charm of the second season.

The final episode of the first season of the second season will finally air on March 28th. When asked about the relationship between Nekoneko and Michi, depicted in episode 36, Konishi said, “It’s frustrating!” “There is a scene in the next episode where Takajun expresses his thoughts, and I think we can get a glimpse of Takajun’s feelings,” he revealed a key point.

Otsuka said, “The final episode of the first season of the second season, which will be aired next week, will be announced for the second season. I’m looking forward to episode 36, which will air next week, but the information for the second season is even more exciting. I’m sure I’ll be wondering what will happen next, so I hope you’ll look forward to next week until the very end.”
Finally, Yuuki said, “When it comes to ‘pharmacy’, I’m sure you all feel that in season 1, the mystery that has been steadily building up leads to a major mysteries, but the great mystery is really interesting, so I hope you’ll look forward to it. Please look forward to the second season, which has been strengthened more than the first season!” and then the event concluded with episode 36, expressing its expectations for the second season, which will represent the full picture.
