The Mobile Suit Gundam series has released the “FLASH Board Art” case for iPhone 16Pro and iPhone 16Pro Max, featuring famous scenes such as RX-78-2 Gundam and Char’s Zaku, as well as last shooters. Starting February 13th, 2025, the product will be released one after another at moeco’s direct sales sites and physical stores nationwide.
The Gundam series is a robot anime produced by Sunrise, starting with the first film, Mobile Suit Gundam, which aired in 1979. This realistic depiction of war, which treats robots as “mobile suits,” detailed scientific research, and intricate human dramas, can’t be explained in a way that can be explained in simple terms by simply recommending good and punishing evil, which was the trend in robot anime up until now. It established the genre of “real robot anime” and sparked a huge boom.
Starting January 17th, the theatrical advance version of the new series, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-, has been released.
The FLASH series board art accessories that use printed circuit board design and manufacturing technology, equipment, and design capabilities have now been released in a number of cases for the iPhone 16Pro and iPhone 16Pro Max designed for Mobile Suit Gundam. Mobile suits (MS) appearing in the Gundam series are RX-78-2 Gundam, MS-06S Char’s Zaku, RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Ver. TWC, RX-93ff ν Gundam, MSN-04FF Sazabi and others, The scene is designed for the “Last Shooting.”
Electronic components are mounted (soldered) on a genuine gold-plated board, and the MS is designed in a precise design with a thin 0.1mm wiring pattern. Without a battery, the LED lights up by converting the radio waves emitted by the iPhone itself into power.
The LED light-emitting portion varies depending on the MS, and for example, the monoeye glows in Char’s Zaku models. Unicorn Gundam and ν Gundam have the cockpit, Sazaby has the Neo Zeon mark, and in the last shoot the beam part fired from the beam rifle shines.
