“Natsume’s Book of Friends” Nyanko-sensei wears glasses♪ All 5 types of engraved glasses frames now available | I Am Anime

From the TV anime “Natsume’s Book of Friends”, a total of 5 types of glasses frames engraved with Nyanko Sensei are now available. This is a collaboration item with eyewear manufacturer “Megane Flower.”

“Natsume’s Book of Friends” is a strange story about Ayakashi contracts based on the manga currently being serialized in “Monthly LaLa” by Yuki Midorikawa.
Takashi Natsume, a lonely boy with a secret that he can see monsters, has been chased by monsters ever since he got his hands on the Book of Friends, an item left behind by his grandmother Reiko, who possessed powerful magical powers. . Natsume spends her days busy with her self-proclaimed bodyguard, Nyanko-sensei, over the “contract” that her grandmother made with the monsters.

The TV anime started with the first season in 2008 and has been broadcast up to the sixth season so far. The voice actors are Hiroshi Kamiya as the main character, Natsume, and Kazuhiko Inoue as Nyanko-sensei. A theatrical version depicting the series’ first full-length original episode was released in September 2018, and in January 2021, two short episodes that are popular with fans will be shown for a limited time in theaters. The seventh season of “Natsume Yujincho Urushi” began broadcasting on October 7, 2024.

Introducing Nyanko Sensei’s glasses frames, which are studded with metal frames that are rounded like a cat. There are 5 types in total, all of which are discreetly and delicately laser-processed, with a variety of attention to detail.

“NYC-001-1”, which features a refreshing light blue nylon metal frame, has Nyanko Sensei and a flower pattern on the inside of the temple, and a paw pattern laser engraved on the outside of the temple around the eyes.

The temple ends are curved like a cat’s foot, and a cat-shaped inlet is included as an accent. The color variations “NYC-001-2” are finished in gorgeous red, and “NYC-001-3” is finished in gentle pink.

“NYC-002-1” and “NYC-002-2” have round metal frames with soft curves, and are available in two colors: brown/gold and pink.

This design also includes a flower pattern with Nyanko Sensei on the inside of the temple, and a cat-shaped pattern on the outside of the temple around the eyes. The paw inlet at the temple end is also cute.

Each item comes with Nyanko-sensei’s original glasses wipe and original soft glasses case as a purchase bonus.

This is a limited set sold only at Megane Flower, and the set with thin aspherical lenses costs 13,200 yen, and the frame alone costs 11,000 yen (tax included). Available at Megane Flower stores and the official online shop.
