“Gegege no Mystery” A new illustration of Kitaro’s father and Mizuki who enjoy karaoke♪ New goods from the “ROUND1” collaboration are now available.

A collaboration project between the movie “Kitaro is Born: The Mystery of the Ghost” and “ROUND1” will be held at each of the “ROUND1” stores starting March 19, 2025. Some of these stores are selling new merchandise using original visuals by Kitaro’s father and Mizuki, who enjoy karaoke. Pre-orders are also being held on the Chugai Mining Content Department e-commerce site “Chugaionline.”

The film “Kitaro’s Birth: Gegege no Kitaro,” is based on the sixth season of the TV anime series “Gegege no Kitaro,” which has been loved for 55 years, and is a feature-length story that depicts the origins of the series surrounding “Kitaro’s Birth.”
It was a story about Kitaro’s father, Metama Oyaji, and the human Mizuki, and the fate that their two fathers faced, and received high praise, winning the Best Animated Film Award at the 47th Japan Academy Awards. Later, a special edition of “Kitaro’s Birth: The Mystery of Gegege: The Real Life Edition,” which brushed up the images and sound, was also screened.

The collaboration project between this work and “ROUND1” includes selling limited-edition bowling and karaoke packages and collaboration menus, as well as setting up karaoke collaboration rooms at the Kichijoji and Sakai Ekimae stores.

Merchandise on sale at some stores includes “acrylic figure stands” and “tote bags” that use newly drawn visuals such as Kitaro’s father and Mizuki, who enjoys karaoke, Kitaro who bowls, and many other products unique to collaborations, such as capsule toy “can badges.” Some merchandise is also available for pre-order on the e-commerce site Chugaionline, so even fans from far away don’t miss it.
