To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the serialization of the manga “Masuda Kosuke Gekijo Gag Manga Biyori GO”, it has been announced that the TV anime “Masuda Kosuke Gekijo Gag Manga Biyori GO” is scheduled to air from April 2025. This will be the fifth TV anime adaptation in 15 years.
“Masuda Kosuke Theater Gag Manga Biyori” is a gag manga by Masuda Kosuke whose cumulative circulation has exceeded 6 million copies as of January 2020. A wide variety of characters, including “Prince Shotoku,” “Matsuo Basho,” and “Usami-chan,” are drawn into a unique worldview by Masuda’s surreal gags. It has been serialized since the January 2000 issue of Monthly Shonen Jump, and this year marks its 25th anniversary. It is currently being serialized in “Jump Square.”
“Masuda Kosuke Theater Gag Manga Weather GO” is the fifth TV anime adaptation in 15 years since the fourth season “Gag Manga Weather +” in 2010, and is directed by Daichi Heitaro. Manga Biyori” (3rd and 4th seasons), “Hetalia World★Stars”, “Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!” Studio Deen will be in charge of animation production.
Visuals of some of the major characters were also released, and their cast members were also announced. The roles of Prince Shotoku, Sora Kawai, and Kumakichi will be played by Tsuyoshi Maeda, the role of Imoko Ono will be played by Eishi Takemoto, the role of Basho Matsuo will be played by Rei Naito, and the role of Usami-chan will be played by Narumi Sato. Also participating are Yuji Ueda, Kaori Natsuka, Masashi Yabe, and Kensho Ono.
Director Daichi, cast members Maeda and Ono, and Kaname, who will be in charge of the ending song, will be on stage at the “Masuda Kosuke Theater Gag Manga Biyori GB” stage in Jump Studio at “Jump Festa 2025” to be held at Makuhari Messe on December 22nd. It was also revealed that Tetsuya (THE crown) and Kumakichi-kun will be on stage.
At this stage, the latest information on the manga “Masuda Kosuke Theater Gag Manga Biyori GB” and the TV anime “Gag Manga Biyori GO” will be announced. The event will also be streamed live on the Shonen Jump Group’s official YouTube channel “Jump Channel.”
In addition, from 12:00 on December 4th, exclusive advance distribution of the TV anime series “Masuda Kosuke Gekijo Gag Manga Biyori”, which has been broadcast so far, will start on “ABEMA”. In 2025, the exhibition “Masuda Kosuke Theater Gag Manga Days 25th Anniversary Exhibition” will be held, which will look back on the many characters and famous scenes that appeared in the works, along with the original drawings and photo spots, so keep an eye on the excitement. .
