BANDAI NAMCO Group’s BANDAI NAM COPOLMWorks Co., Ltd. co -jointed in the Hollywood live -action movie version of LEGENDARY and the “Mobile Suit Gundam” series in January 2025. It turned out that the investment contract was concluded. The Bandai Namco FilmWorks America, LLC has been established as a base for expanding the Gundam series overseas.
“Mobile Suit Gundam” was created by the original author, Yuki Tomino, and was broadcast in 1979. The Hollywood live -action movie version “GUNDAM” will be the first live -action movie, and will be produced by Legendary Pictures and Jim MICKLE (“Sweet Tooth”) will be produced by Legendary Pictures. Theaters are scheduled to be released worldwide, and details will be reported as soon as they are decided.
It has also been found that the Bandai Namco FilmWorks America, LLC, a North American corporation, will be established on April 1, 2025 for the production of GUNDAM. The corporation will be 100%of the subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings USA Inc., a North American regional supervision company of Bandai Namco Group. Based on the control of BANDAI NAM COPOLM Works, it will work on expanding the licensing business overseas and expanding the brand value of the Gundam series.
Expectations are only increasing for new challenges in the Gundam series.
