“Eva” first collaboration with McDonald’s! Big Mac transforms into the first machine!? A commercial reminiscent of the famous scene is also aired

It has been revealed that the first collaboration project between the anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion” and McDonald’s will be developed. As the first step, applications will be accepted for the advance lottery for the “McDonald’s x Evangelion Value Set Figure” from December 19th. From December 24th, a new TV commercial will begin airing that introduces the start of the “miraculous collaboration” along with famous scenes from the anime.

“Neon Genesis Evangelion” is an anime series written and directed by Hideaki Anno, consisting of a total of 26 episodes of the TV series that began airing in 1995 and a movie version that began in 1997. It is known as a legendary mega-hit that has continued to attract many fans for 30 years since its first broadcast.
Year 2015. “Apostles” with various special abilities have attacked New Tokyo City 3. The main character, Shinji Ikari, is selected to pilot the Evangelion, a humanoid decisive battle weapon that is the only means for humanity to fight against the “Apostles.” What exactly is the true identity of the “apostle”? And what will be the fate of the boys and humanity? The battle for the fate of humanity begins.

It triggered the third anime boom in Japan in the 1990s, and its influence has been described as a social phenomenon. It influenced many successor anime, set unprecedented sales records for music and video software in the anime business, and pioneered the development of media mix.

This first collaboration between this work and McDonald’s will feature three miraculous transforming robots: “Big Mac No. 1,” “McFried Potato No. 2,” and “McShake No. 0.” appears. This is a set of three figures that transform McDonald’s popular products Big Mac, McFried Potatoes, and McShake into Evangelion Units 01, 2, and 0, respectively.

For the sale, applications will be accepted for a preliminary lottery through the official McDonald’s smartphone app until 11:59 pm on January 10, 2025. If you win, you will receive the specified amount from the start of business from January 20th (24-hour stores open from 5:00 am) to the end of each store’s business hours on January 26th (24-hour stores open until 4:59 the next day). It can be purchased at McDonald’s stores. Please note that each person can apply for one set of tickets only once in the advance lottery.

Furthermore, from December 24th, a new TV commercial will begin airing that will introduce the miraculously transformed figures that will appear in the first series. The story is reminiscent of famous scenes from the anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” and tells the story of the miraculous collaboration between McDonald’s and Eva. The second installment will be a collaboration with Neon Genesis Evangelion that will deliver a delicious worldview. Details will be announced on December 26th, so please look forward to it.
