It has been announced that the sequel to the live-action movie “Tokyo Revengers”, the two-part movie “Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween”, will be broadcast on terrestrial television for the first time uncut on Fuji TV’s “Saturday Premium”. The first part, “Bloody Halloween Edition -Destiny-” will be broadcast on January 18, 2025 at 9:00 PM, and the second part, “Bloody Halloween Edition -Decisive Battle-” will be broadcast on January 25, 21:00.

“Tokyo Revengers” is a novel collaboration between “Yankee x Time Leap” and is a manga written by Ken Wakui that continues to excite many people since it began serialization in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” in 2017. In addition to being made into a TV anime, the first live-action movie “Tokyo Revengers” will be released in July 2021.
The popularity and talent of Takumi Kitamura, who plays the main character Takemichi, Yuki Yamada, Harusuke Sugino, Mio Imada, Nobuyuki Suzuki, Atsushi Maeda, Hiroya Shimizu, Hayato Isomura, Shotaro Mamiya, and Ryo Yoshizawa are impeccable. The gathering of an all-star cast also became a hot topic. It has become the No. 1 theatrical live-action movie hit in 2021.

In July 2022, it was announced that a sequel movie, “Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween”, will be produced. On social media, there were many voices of joy and anticipation, such as, “I’ve been waiting for the sequel! I’m so excited!” and “Who will be the additional cast?” The sequel is a two-part series, “Bloody Halloween Edition -Fate-” and “Blood Halloween Edition -Decisive Battle-”, which completely depicts the episode “Bloody Halloween Edition”, which has been said to be “the most tear-jerking” in the original work.

This time, this masterpiece, for which a first and second part were absolutely necessary due to its huge volume, will finally be broadcast on terrestrial TV for the first time. In response to this, the producer of this work, Shota Okada, commented with joy.

The movie depicts a scene in which his ex-girlfriend Hinata (Mio Imada), who could have saved his life, is killed again in front of the main character Takemichi (Takumi Kitamura) by the violent Tokyo Mankai.
The key to saving Hina seems to lie in a tragic incident in the past that tore apart the bond between the six members of Tomanji, each of whom risked their lives for their friends.

Why were the former best friends destined to have to fight? Fierce battles ensue, past tragedies intertwine, and bonds between friends are torn apart. “I don’t want anyone to die anymore!” Takemichi says, and the story is filled with tension as he confronts Halloween on October 31st in order to avoid the worst possible outcome.

The 2-part movie “Tokyo Revengers 2 Bloody Halloween Edition” will be released in January 2025, with the first part “Bloody Halloween Edition -Fate-” starting at 9:00 p.m. on January 18, 2025, and the second part “Bloody Halloween Edition -Decisive Battle-” starting in January. The episode will be broadcast uncut on Fuji TV’s “Saturday Premium” from 9pm on the 25th.

The movie “Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween” will be broadcast on terrestrial TV for the first time without cutting the main story. I’m very happy to finally be able to bring this work, which has a passionate cast of actors that I don’t think will ever happen again, to TV.
This series faced various difficulties from its launch to its release, but we overcame it many times through the bonds of friendship. I think that amount of heat is clearly left on the screen. Even if you missed it in theaters, I hope you will check it out.
