The fastest streaming of Gundam “GQuuuuuX” will be decided on Prime Video from April 9th! Director Tsurumaki is also “feeling joy”

It has been announced that Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX, which will begin broadcasting on 30 Nippon Television stations from April 8, 2025, will be streamed in the fastest in Japan on Prime Video from April 9th. Along with the announcement, comments have been received from Tsurumaki Kazuya, the director of this film.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX is the latest Gundam series produced by a team of Studio Color, which is the creator of the Evangelion series, and Sunrise, which is the creator of the Gundam series. The series is composed by Tsurumaki Kazuya, Enokido Yoji, series composition by Yamashita Ikuto, mechanical design, and script by Enokido Yoji and Anno Hideaki, and a group of creators who continue to leave a major mark in Japanese anime history.

Ahead of the TV series’ broadcast, the theatrical advance version of “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-” is now available in theaters nationwide from January 17th, 2025. The number of spectators has attracted over 1.8 million, and the cumulative box office revenue has exceeded 2.96 billion yen. Furthermore, screenings in North America, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand will begin on February 28th, and have received a huge response both at home and abroad.

The main character is Amate Yuzuriha, a high school girl who lives peacefully in a space colony. After meeting a young girl named Nyaan, she becomes involved in an illegal mobile suit duel competition called Clan Battle. He called himself his entry name “Machu” and drove the mobile suit “GQuuuuuuX” and decided to throw himself into the days of fierce battles. Around the same time, the unknown mobile suit “Gundam” that was being chased by both the Space Force and the police, and the pilot, Shuji, appear in front of her.

It has been announced that Prime Video will be streaming the fastest in Japan from 1am on April 9th, the long-awaited TV anime broadcast date. Furthermore, it will be exclusively distributed overseas in more than 240 countries and regions (excluding Japan and Vietnam).
