“Doraemon the Movie” 6 films selected by fans will be screened on screen [45th anniversary project of the series]

The “Doraemon Movie” series will celebrate its 45th anniversary in 2025. In commemoration of this, the films to be screened have been decided for the special project “Series 45th Anniversary! Doraemon Movie Festival” where you can enjoy past works in theaters. Six works can be viewed over three weeks from January 27, 2025 to February 6, 2025.
The “45th Anniversary of the Series! Doraemon Movie Festival” is a fan-participation project that screens titles chosen by vote from among all 43 films released to date for a limited time.
The voting period is from September 27th to October 31st. The six selected works are “Nobita and the Kingdom of Clouds” (1992), “Nobita and the Galaxy Express” (1996), “Nobita’s Wanyan Jikuden” (2004), and “New・Nobita and the Iron Troops” (2011), “Nobita’s Secret Tools Museum” (2013), and “Nobita and the Utopia in the Sky” (2023).
The screening period is set from January 27th to February 6th.
The first week, January 17th to 23rd, will feature “Nobita and the Kingdom of Clouds” and “Nobita’s Secret Tools Museum.” The second week, January 24th to 30th, will feature “Nobita and the Galaxy Super Express” and “Nobita Utopia in the Sky”, and in the final week from January 31st to February 6th, “Nobita’s Wanyan Jikuden” and “New Nobita and the Iron Troops” will be screened, respectively.
In addition, “Nobita and the Kingdom of Clouds,” “Nobita and the Galaxy Express,” and “Nobita’s Wanyan Jikuden” will be screened for the first time as digitally remastered versions. It will be a valuable opportunity to enjoy nostalgic works with beautiful images.
As an admission benefit, you will receive a “Doraemon Movie Festival” special sticker. This is a valuable item featuring posters of 6 works. Admission fee is 1,300 yen for adults and 500 yen for children (high school age and younger).
The latest work in the series, “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Picture World Story” will be released on March 7th. This work is a completely original story in which Doraemon and Nobita fight against a powerful enemy over a mythical jewel.
