T-shirts for “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED,” “Mobile Suit Gundam UC,” and “Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch of Mercury” are available at the apparel shop “STRICT-G.” Pre-orders are currently being accepted at the STRICT-G Online Store on the online shopping site “Premium Bandai.”
The Gundam series is a robot anime produced by Sunrise, starting with the first film, Mobile Suit Gundam, which aired in 1979. With realistic depictions of war, which treats robots as “mobile suits,” detailed scientific research, and intricate human dramas, they have established the genre of “real robot anime,” which cannot be discussed in simple terms by simply recommending good and punishing evil, which was the trend in robot anime up until now, causing a huge boom.
And “STRICT-G” is an apparel shop that incorporates the worldview of the Gundam series. To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the series, six types of T-shirts have been released, including newly drawn illustrations, following the first installment released in September 2024.
There were three titles in the lineup. The second installment of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED is available in two types: an illustration based on the PHASE-39 “Aslan” motif, and a design that simply expresses the Freedom Gundam and Justice Gundam that appear in the film.
Next, in the third installment of Mobile Suit Gundam UC, there is a scene in which the main character Banage Links rescues Audrey Byrne (Mineva Rao Zabi) from episode 5, “The Black Unicorn.”
Two types have also been released, including a simple design that expresses Unicorn Gundam and Banshee.
In the fourth installment, Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch of Mercury, the lineup includes two types designed by Gundam Aerial, Daryl Barde, Gundam Faract and Michaelis from episode 9, “If I Can Take You One Step.”
The price for a total of six types of T-shirts is 4,730 yen each (tax included). Pre-orders are now being accepted at the STRICT-G Online Store on Premium Bandai.
