“Detective Conan” is a mystery manga by Gosho Aoyama that has been serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday” since 1994 and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2024. The main character, Conan Edogawa, who looks like a first grader in elementary school, but whose true identity is Shinichi Kudo, a high school detective, confronts a number of difficult cases while hunting down the organization all dressed in black that forced him to take a poisonous drug that shrinks his body. draw.
The anime began airing as a television series in 1996, and a theatrical version was released in 1997. In April 2024, “Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Star” was released as the 27th movie, which is set in Hakodate, Hokkaido and depicts a “battle mystery to capture the treasure that will divide the world.”
“Ranpo Mansion Murder Case” is a special collaboration episode in which Edogawa Ranpo and Edogawa Conan’s dream collaboration comes true, commemorating the 130th anniversary of Edogawa Ranpo’s birth. For two weeks, November 16th and 23rd, the story will take place at the former Edogawa Ranpo mansion.
The story begins with Conan and the Detective Boys visiting the Ranpo residence led by Kobayashi Sensei. The storehouse that Ranpo used as a library contains a large number of valuable books, and Conan and his friends are very excited. Detectives Sato and Takagi arrive there and tell them that a murder has occurred in a nearby park. Moreover, it seems that the victims’ belongings were related to a storehouse that is usually not open to the public… A modern boy detective team will take on this difficult case.
The screenplay will be written by Takahiro Okura, who also wrote the screenplay for the hit movie version of Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Star. In addition to this work, Okura, who has written many Conan screenplays such as “Love Letter,” “Fist,” and “Halloween Bride,” Conan and the Detective Boys are brought to Rampo’s mansion. It will be interesting to see what kind of performance he will perform.
