“Kingdom” Qin vs. Zhao begins all-out war!! The 6th series starts in October. A visual of Shin, who has been holding “Wang Ki’s Spear” released.

It has been decided that the sixth series of the TV anime “Kingdom” will be broadcast on NHK General TV from October 2025. In the sixth series, the battle for unification of China begins in earnest, depicting the all-out war between Qin and Zhao. Along with the announcement, a visual featuring the spear that the Hi Shin Unit Shin once entrusted to by the great general, Wang Ki, has been released.

Kingdom is a romance of the Chinese Sengoku period, based on a manga by Hara Yasuhisa, which is currently being serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump. Set in China during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States period, the story depicts the exploits of Shin (CV: Morita Seiichi), a boy who aims to become a great general in the world, and Eisei (CV: Fukuyama Jun), the young king who would become the first emperor of the world.
The original comic has sold over 110 million copies in total. In 2024, the fourth live-action film, “The Return of the Great Kingdom,” was released, and it was a huge hit with a box office revenue of 8 billion yen.

The TV anime has so far started with the first series that aired on NHK BS Premium from June 2012 to February 2013, and then includes the second series from June 2013 to March 2014, the third series from April to October 2021, the fourth series from April to October 2022, and the fifth series from January to March 2024.

The fifth series, which aired last year, depicted the efforts of the Kanki army and Hi Shin Unit, where Qin managed to capture Black Yatsuki and became a base for Zhao, and it ended with good reception. The sixth series, which has been decided to be broadcast from October, finally begins a battle with Zhao, and Qin will develop a campaign with the allied forces led by the three forces led by Wang Jian (CV: Horiuchi Kenyu), Kanki (CV: Ito Kentaro), and Yang Duanhe (CV: Sonozaki Mie).

Furthermore, the new generation of Shin (CV: Morita Seiichi), Meng Tian (CV: Nojima Hiroshi), and Wang Ben (CV: Hosoya Yoshimasa) also lead their respective troops to join the battle as independent military forces, and are tasked with important roles. And in this sixth series, Shin finally leaves the battle with the “Oh Ki’s Spear.” This new series is likely to raise hopes for the outcome of the all-out war between Qin and Zhao, as he runs through the battlefield with the spear entrusted to him by the general.
