“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugen Castle appears!? Experience training on rock-pillars!? A booth report that will immerse you in the worldview [AnimeJapan 2025]
Welcome back to the I Am Anime website
AnimeJapan2025, one of the world’s largest anime events, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight, will be held over two days on March 22nd and 23rd. The AnimeJapan 2025 Aniplex booth will be holding a special exhibition about the anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,” which is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 18th, 2025! We visited the booth, which truly recreates the castle’s atmosphere, which is like “Infinite Castle.”

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is an anime based on a manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, with a total of 23 volumes published by Shueisha’s Jump Comics and has sold over 150 million copies. The story follows Kamado Tanjiro, a boy whose family was killed by a demon, joins the Demon Slayer Corps in order to turn his younger sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, into a human, and throws himself into a battle with demons. The sad story of humans and demons, the terrifying swordplay, and the comical scenes that are occasionally depicted, make them popular.
The anime produced by ufotable has been developing a series, starting with the TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” in April 2019, and has been developing a series. After the final episode of the TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” Pillar Rehearsal Edition, which aired in May 2024, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugenjou” was produced as a trilogy. The first chapter of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle” will be released on July 18th, 2025.
Once inside the main booth, you will be greeted by characters who are expected to perform well in the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle.” You can see Tanjiro, Genya, Shinobu and Mitsuri with dignified expressions.

Passing through these exhibits, you will be led to a room where you can see special footage. There, I was one of the first to watch unreleased footage of this film. In particular, the quality of the video, which expresses Infinite Castle in a three-dimensional way, is stunning, and expectations for the main story are high.
After watching the video, there will be a booth where you can take commemorative photos with Tanjiro, as well as posters from past works scheduled to be screened at Demon Slayer Theater.

Demon Slayer Theater, which will re-screen past films, will be held from Friday, April 4th. Special editions from “Kamado Tanjiro: The Rising Edition” to “The Pillar Rehearsals” will be screened only every week, and a revival of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” will be set to be screened from Friday, May 9th, so it seems like a great preparation for the “Mugen Castle” will be perfect.

Depending on the level of crowds, you may need to issue a ticket via LINE, so we recommend checking the crowds at the booth in advance.
In addition, ufotable, who is in charge of animation production for “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,” will be exhibiting at a large-scale exhibition at its first “experience-based booth.” A “Taike” area has been prepared, with five scenes from the anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.” The sections were “Experience! Inosuke’s hole breeze,” “Experience! A showdown with Mitsuri, without any skills,” “Experience! Practice to push rocks through rock pillars,” “Experience! A competition to fly paper airplanes,” and “Experience! Inflate gourd balloons,” and the audience members enjoyed themselves.
