The first revival screening of the movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” has been decided! “Demon Slayer Theater” is scheduled to be held in April

It has been announced that a special screening titled “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle” will be held from April 4th, 2025, in preparation for the release of the first chapter of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Theatre.” Furthermore, it has been decided that a revival of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” will be screened from May 9th.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is an anime based on a manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, with a total of 23 volumes published by Shueisha’s Jump Comics and has sold over 150 million copies. The story follows Kamado Tanjiro, a boy whose family was killed by a demon, joins the Demon Slayer Corps in order to turn his younger sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, into a human, and throws himself into a battle with demons. The sad story of humans and demons, the terrifying swordplay, and the comical scenes that are occasionally depicted, make them popular.

The anime produced by ufotable has been developing a series, starting with the TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” in April 2019, and has been developing a series. The film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugenjou” was announced to be produced for a trilogy after the final episode of the TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Pillar Rehearsals”, which aired in May 2024, and it was recently reported that the first chapter will be released on July 18, 2025.

It has been newly announced that a special screening titled “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle” will be held from April 4th in preparation for the release of the first chapter of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Theatre.” Special editions from “Kamado Tanjiro: The Rise Edition” to “Pillar Rehearsals Edition” will be shown in theaters, and will be held as a limited edition weekly screening at 33 theaters nationwide.

Furthermore, it has been decided that a revival of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” will be screened from May 9th. It will also be released on IMAX on the first day, and will be screened for a limited time of five weeks at 423 theaters nationwide (regular edition: 370 + IMAX edition: 53 theaters).
This film, which will be the first revival screening since its release in 2020, is also scheduled to be released in Dolby atmos, Dolby Cinema, 4DX and MX4D. For this screening, the entire film will be upconverted in 4K, and Dolby Atmos and Dolby Cinema will be remixed. Enjoy a new theatre experience.

In addition, it has been announced that a two-day event will be held at Pacifico Yokohama, Kanagawa, under the title “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Katai in Yokohama.” The “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” Orchestra Concert – Demon Slayer: Pillar Rehearsals Edition” scheduled to be held on May 3rd will be a concert that can be enjoyed along with footage from the anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”, where live performances of songs from the play are displayed on screen by the orchestra. This is the fifth installment, and a song that will be played that will be colored from the “Pillar Rehearsal Edition.”

“Demon Slayer Banquet – Pillar Rehearsal Edition” scheduled to be held on May 4th will feature stage events, mainly original reading dramas and live dubbing. The cast members who play the main characters gather together, and this is a special stage that will raise expectations for the upcoming release of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugenjo Arc.”
